Brand scored 36 and we still kicked the isht out of them. How much more than that is Dirk gonna score?

If Dirk gets 40, and everybody else is limited, then I'll take that any day of the week.

I find the whole premise of this article to be incredibly arrogant Ñ as if to say "how stupid are the Rockets for winning their games and going up against US, the Almighty Mavs."

Personally, I think the Mavs are a really good team. I see them as being more loaded with talent than the Rox, but out of the 3 best players in this series, 2 will be wearing Rockets uniforms. Being that smug before you have actually won is not only offensive, it's plain stupid. I'll never forget Barkley's promise to have a party with 16,000 of his closest friend when Phoenix finally did in the Rockets. We all know what happened then.

    Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

A number of events transpired to create the lottery. Houston had a shot at Hakeem Olajuwon in the coin flip despite ending with only the 4th worst record in the league. And considering we finished six games clear with the worst record the year before - that point about the lottery was just wrong.

    Sigh! Where to begin...

If you think that column is bad, you should hear him on the radio. He has a talk show on ESPN 103.3 from 3-6 M-F. And I've had to listen to this drivel from radio & TV for the past 2 weeks. This is the same Randy Galloway who declared that these Mavericks are better than Phoenix, San Antonio, Detroit and Miami and that the NBA Championship is within their grasp. I'm beginning to see a lot of DFW newspaper articles turning up on ClutchCity to stir up the faithful.

What Houston fans have to remember is that Dallas - the city and its people - possess an incredibly arrogant and condesending attitude toward all things Houston. These folks have only paid attention to the Rockets 4 times this year so they don't have an accurate picture of how far this team has come this season (nor do the majority of them actually CARE to do so). Sure, the Mavs have come far as well given all of the personnel changes to win 56 games but the Rockets have travelled LIGHTYEARS to get to the 50 win plateau. This is an even more impressive feat considering what their lineup looked like at the beginning of the season.

As I write this right now, Galloway is on the radio interviewing one of the Maverick TV announcers and it's all about how the Rockets have no answer for Dirk and how JVG may actually be forced to play a zone because Witherspoon, Padgett & Bowen (notice I didn't mention Baker) can't possible hope in this lifetime to actually step on the same court with Dirk. Saturday just can't get here fast enough...

First of all, the Rockets didn't tank those games. They were AWFUL those years. We earned Dream and Ralph, thank you.

Second of all, Mavs fans are just upset because when the Rocks were winning rings, Dallas was terrible. Don't hate a winner, baby.

he's probably still mad that we didn't rescue him from the Knicks back in the day...

Dirk will of course get his points. I don't care about Dirk. I am pretty sure JVG knows that Dirk will get his. The main thing to worry about is shutting down Finley and Co. Finley has done a good job at getting hot against the Rockets...especially in the 2nd halves.

I don't know about y'all but I have a feeling that Yao will destroy the Mavs by himself. Call it intuition or stupidity but Yao will destroy the Mavs.
