Didn't have time to make it last night, but it seems that everynight has a crowd, so I'd guess it was packed.

It was funny when i read this because right before I did this puppy that was just born, fell out of his mothers womb, crawled over to the keyboard and replied to a post on a different thread.

So guys, any thoughts on how to do replacements for the roster spots vacated by the two quitters?

Kurt and I have a mutual friend that is willing to play. I know him a little better than Kurt and hes pretty good. "Rodman" esk type player (excluding attitude)with a little better offense, around 6'5 and works down the street from where we play so showing up wont be a problem. Just thought I'd throw it out there as a viable option for a replacement that gives us a chance to possibly win it all.

Yep. His name is Greg, but don't worry, he's African American so our racial equilibrium won't suffer in Josh's absence. That is vital.

I don't think I've ever actually played with him, but I know Adam did in another league so if he thinks he'll work for us then I am inclined to agree. I don't think we're likely to find someone better than him at his size, right?

We also have another mutual friend who's about Josh's size that can run some PG if needed. A bit more of a SG really, but doesn't have issues handling the ball either. Haven't talked to him about it, but you guys let me know if I should.

if we are talking about size, there isnt a better option at this point. but as far as this other guy goes, i think we dont need him as much. me, you, rocketfire, and josh can all bring the ball up the court and hold it down until josh returns.

our depth it pretty good normally but with our losses we are ok as long as we can get some size in and our of our starting lineup.
    pg- josh, clutch, rush
    sg- clutch, rush
    sf- stack, rocketfire
    pf- adam, stack, rocketfire
    c- yaowink, adam

of course w/o josh and yao we lose alot, including depth. if we can get a solid 2 man rotation at each pos. i think we are good enough to win. no offense to josh (major part of this team), but i think we will miss yaowink the most...again it comes down to size.

useless long post because it all comes down to being fine with adding another guy that can give us a better chance to win - adding size.

I vote for bringing OS back. One of the original themes of this team was to keep it as clutchfan as possible. That was the cool part. It was neat reading what some of our posters would do in the league. I know OS has been posting in other threads and he started this one so I think he should get a shot at one of the open spots.

Hey guys... just an update. I had surgery on Friday and everything went really well. It turns out that, in addition to a partially torn MCL and a completely torn ACL, I also had some cartelidge damage that had to be shaved down.

I'm not going to like. My knee hurts and this sucks.

But at least I can now begin the road to recovery.

    Just keeping you all informed.

Yeah..i still don't know what happened to Omega...he just like bailed out of the thread a long time ago. Definetly would like to have him back.

Im with Rush on the lineup thing. Brining in another guy with size is not a problem becuase that is something we are lacking. But we honestly don't need anyone for ball handeling purposes becuase between Rush, Adam and Clutch we should be just fine.

It's not like anyone in the league really presses us or cuases a problem bringing the ball up. I have yet to see that in any game. We all make good passes to the open man. I wan to keep the team as much Cluchfans as we can becuase that's what we started out. We do need size in the middle to help adam out and compete against a few of the bigger teams. We just don't need more players that we already have on the team. Rush can easily step into Josh's spot and help out the team and we still have RocketFire that rotates in and out with me and anyone else as well.

about omega, i was able to get ahold of him via email.

i stated that we could use him and it would nice to have one of the original stalkers come back. he responded ............................................................he changed his work schedule to working evenings (getting off usually at midnight).

so unfortunately, hes not an option but luckily clutch/adam have someone with size that can help. (although I do agree with stack to keep it to as many as clutch guys as possible)

EDITED: i apologize omega if i said anything that you didnt want said

That's great man. I hope the road to recovery means that you will be able to play ball again someday. I don't know what I would do if i couldn't do the sport activities I love.

The "other guy" I was saying could play with us was just a suggestion. No problem at all if you guys want to keep it as "Clutchfans" as possible.

I would definitely feel a lot better if we had 1 more guy though. At least someone who would set Monday nights aside as an official alternate or something, just in case. The games are so short, so I don't think we need subs all that bad, but having to forfeit a game because we only have 4 players show up...that's what worries me.

I say we need one more big man...as i said before. But as far as brining in anyone else is not needed. We have a good rotation right now, we don't need major handles to bring the ball up in this league since they don't pressure too much.
