For whatever it's worth, just clarifying that I was the white guy in the Astros shirt, not Lance Berkman. I think there was a little confusion.

Let's an official roll call going. If there's been one, I missed it. Game is at 9:05.

    Me
    Josh
    Adam (just became questionable)

By the way, I recently said I would be changing my #, but I'm not. The place where I got my iron on letters has since closed down, so I'll be sticking with the old #2 in case anyone had plans of using it.

I don't think Wal Mart has iron on numbers. At least the one by me doesn't. That's the first place I looked after I saw that the other place I went to before had closed down. So now I just kinda gave up and I'll be using my old one. You can just use tape if it comes down to it though, then iron everything out (no pun intended) before the next game.

Wal-Mart does have the iron-on patches though, which is what I used. Just trace a number, cut it out, and iron it to the jersey ... make sure to get a dark and light patch though (I got khaki and black).

Hmm...I remembered you mentioning that but then I didn't see anything like that. All I saw was iron-on kittens and apricots and ****. Maybe I'll go look one more time before the game...

By the way, I sent Adam a text to remind him about the game and he pretty much replied by asking if it would be a problem if he didn't play with us. I told him that it would screw us pretty big, especially in the size department.

He said the problem is that he works down the street from the YMCA so when our games are any later than 7, it's an inconvenience because sitting around waiting isn't practical and going home and driving straight back isn't practical. He knew about this before, but I guess he's decided it may not be worth it. He also said he's not sure if he'd like playing because he only knows me and Josh, and he doesn't want to waste 45 bucks to play a game and decide he'd rather not stay with the team.

So...I told him not to bother showing up if he's not sure if he wants to play with us. I just figured that everyone else wouldn't be too happy if he played a game and then just flew the coop without paying, and I know he's not going to pay until he knows if he wants to stick around.

I guess I just need some opinions on how to handle the situation. If you guys wouldn't mind him testing the waters with us for free tonight, then I'll let him know that. However, I totally understand if you guys don't feel so great about that. I don't.

Who said my numbers don't have little kitties on them? ;)

Actually, I went to the sewing and fabric section and they have patches there. I am sure there will be some old lady more than happy to help you find them. :D

As far as him playing it doesn't matter to me..only thing that would suck would be to get used to a style of play with him in the lineup then not have that to rely on for the rest of the season.

Well, I would make it clear to him that we'd need to know after tonight's game whether he is going to keep playing or not. We've known each other a long time so I have no problem at all giving him that ultimatum straight up. I'll probably cuss at him too just for fun.

I am okay with letting Adam have 'a free trial period.' If he plays and doesn't like it, have him tell us no later than Tuesday so we can find a replacement from our current list of alternatives.

I was not able to access the full schedule, but the next couple of games are all around 8 pm.

Mon 6/26/06 9:05pm Bus Stop Stalkers vs. Scottford Homes
Mon 7/03/06 8:10pm Redemption vs. Bus Stop Stalkers
    Mon 7/10/06 BYE
Mon 7/17/06 8:10pm Bus Stop Stalkers vs. Running Ligers
Mon 7/24/06 8:10pm Bus Stop Stalkers vs. Perfection Ranch
