so they aren't kicking non-residents out? i thought i read that was happening before they fixed teh goal.
its worth a shot...if most of us show up, we then can follow another to somewhere else. 2 places in mind, besides the one mentioned already, is a) slippery court OR b) the court outside the Y. ive never played there but i know stack and some gave shot around there before games.
Yeah we have shot around there before and played some 21 it's not as bad as you think it is...you might not want to go full force if you think it's slippery but at least if we have enough basketballs we can shoot around and get our rythm working before games.
There is a full court directly behind the baseball fields inbetween the church and the YMCA and that church has a really old goal out in the parking lot.
so we have options if we get kicked out of apts....or i break the rim again i dont want to head up there tomorrow night though, if i wont be able to get in. thats happened two many times.
The goal isnt that old but if your shot is not dead on, the ball will bounce out of it. Tomorrow would be a good deal to play on it because their's church on Friday. It did, but looks like they're not enforcing it.. I guess DarkHorse, macalu, and myself are the practice squad..
Sorry i can't make it...at least i have been playing every tuesday at the gym to keep me in shape....and hopefully we will have game this monday.
im not worried about you stack... but i am worried about myself...but i dont want to take the drive if no one will show. i just like re-assurance.
Got it...well i always worry about it...i can be streaky at times which sucks...hopefully you guys will get together before monday to get some shots in.
I was thinking about going, but I'm running on no sleep since 10pm last night. Yeah...my sleep schedule has been majorly fukked lately, but I'm workin on it. Anyway, I went to the park near my house and shot around for a while because I had nothing better to do. Some guy comes up to me and challenged me to a game of 21, which I accepted. Turns out the guy plays defense like Bruce Bowen. He actually pissed me off a couple of times with the way he was throwing his body into me, but I'm not going to call fouls in 21. I was sooooo freaking tired and it felt like the game would never end. I got to 20 and missed the extra shot so I had to go back to 15. Then I got to 20 again and the same thing happened. Then I FINALLY got 21 on the 3rd try. So I tell the guy good game and that he played some tough defense. That's when he says "I'm only 16, but I like to play physical." I was like "16??? I wish I were that big when I was 16." That's when I remember that I WAS that big when I was 16...I just stopped growing Long story short, the combination of no sleep and my adventures at the park have left me dead tired. I'll be ready for Monday though, I've been playing pretty regularly.
I had totally forgotten about the ankle. Haven't had any trouble with it since last C League. And the shot...well...I've made it a point to get my arm strength back to where it used to be, so hopefully that does the trick. If you recall, about half my misses in D League were perfectly on line, but hit the front of the rim.
