I guess I'll chime in on this as well since I brought something up earlier some what on the subject. I have no objections to bringing Adam on. I only care about winning, and if everyone feels he will help the chances of the team doing that, bring him on. But, saying that, I think guys have maybe over-looked what I can bring to the team and why I am a little dissapointed as to why everyone wants to add him. I mean, I don't bring a lot of height (6'0) but I have some width , fight and a love of battling inside. Rebounding, boxing out and playing defense are my favorite things to do. Saying that, PF is really the only position I can play. I'm not as quick as I once was, hell used to play a lot like Clutch if you can believe it, but (like I said in my last post) those days are long gone because of my knees, etc. Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is (and was trying to say before but not very good) was because of the logjam of playing time, maybe he should take my place if you guys think he will help you win more than me. Again, that will be very dissapointing. I'm still pissed as hell about that first season and want payback. But, it's up to the team to decide what is best. Hell, maybe I'm not the player I think I am or no one sees what I see in terms of what i can bring to the team. Maybe thats my competive nature blinding things. I don't know. But, I wasn't myself that season, wasn't aggressive as usual due to my concern over my knee and I'm looking forward to making up for that. Anyway, I'm not trying to persuade anyone or sell myself. Just talking. If the team feels Adam will help the team more, I'll step out. Like Biggie said, there is no way we can fit 9 players in. Just let me know.

You should consider yourself a lucky man. You got to witness by far the worst shooting season I've ever had on any level of basketball in the 13 years that I've been playing. I feel lucky too though. Between you and Omega I got to witness a couple of 0% dunking seasons. Those are more rare than a solar eclipse, although much less impressive. Seriously though, I had my reasons for the sub par season and expect much better results this time around. I might just go crazy and crack 30% this time! In response to mogrod, I'm not suggesting we cut significantly into anyone's minutes. Adam could start at PF but the guy can play all 5 positions in this league so when someone else subs out from one of the other 4 positions, he can slide over and you come in at PF. Maybe that's still not what you had in mind...I don't know. I'm sorry if I or anyone else has made you feel overlooked or underappreciated. I thought we could squeeze him into the rotation, which no doubt would make the team a lot better, but if we can't then we can't. I understand that everyone wants their money's worth in minutes and I don't blame them. I'm not going to bring Adam on if it's going to make anyone think about quitting the team.

Yes i would love for Adam to play in our team only if we all concur on having 9 players in the team. I am up for having a 9 man roster because i know i might not make it all tuesdays or i might be too tired from work to come to play 100%. For example today i woke up at 9 to get ready for work but felt so lazy and tired that i went back to bed at 10:00 AM. After falling asleep i didn't even realize the team and didn't wake up until 11:00 PM. Yes i was dead for 11 hours. So if we would have had a game today i wouldn't have come. I think this situation will happen to me quite often so it would be nice to have Adam play in our team. If having Adam ever becomes a problem then i will be glad to not have any minutes, and i will give all of my minutes for a championship season. So in conclusion, i vote yes for having 9 players in the team and if it ever create problems then i will gladly give my minutes up.

Seriously though, it's interesting that you mentioned you may be absent for some games here and there, because Josh was just telling me that he may not be able to make next week's game depending on what time it is. He has to go out of town that night. That fool is always sneaking off to Austin or Dallas without warning.
So from looking thru the posts in this thread, there have been different versions of the roster made by different people. It is really confusing following how the rosters were formed. It seemed like the team was being frantically put together to meet the deadline, and we never established how the roster should be. Ways to do this season's roster: 1. Keep last season's roster and fill in the gaps for people that didn't want to play this year. This didn't happen b/c Biggie expressed interest in playing but wasn't put on the first or any unofficial rosters. Also, Rocketfire was "signed" before all of the 2nd season BSS were notified. 2. Keep as many core players and then have try-outs for the other spots. This didn't happen as people like Lance, pradaxpimp, DarkHorse, Rocketfire, or CCR's friend Adam were not voted on to fill in any gaps from the previous season's players. 3. Get the best players available together and let that team be the new BSS. This didn't happen since all aren't really trying out for their spot on the team, and we have no one that can "cut" players from the squad. Basically, we haven't really kept to one way of deciding this season's BSS roster. CCR and rusHour each had his own respective rosters. When people like me and Stack joined late in the process and Omega didn't pay his internet bill or something, each filled his roster in his own way. So this all leads us to a couple of questions ... 1. Do we want to have 9 players on the roster? 2. Who decides the players on the roster? 3. Who will decide playing time once we do start playing? 4. Did I really need to write such a long post? I don't have a problem playing with 9 players, but we should determine playing time expectations as much as possible now. (I could have just posted this last sentence and it would have been just as effective - oh well),
Technically, on my first play on offense in the first game, I had a tip-in dunk. I have proof in the form of the post game write-up by rusHour. So my percentage on dunking might have been as good as or better than your 3 pt shot. The good part is, both of our percentages will go up this season.

I've been playing a lot lately. I've got my shot downnn and ready to go. I'd love to play with yall but I understand winning comes first and that's how it should be. If one night comes where the team is missing a player or two and yall need a back-up man, I'd be happy to play.
I think the easiest solution to the problem is if i just drop my name and let Adam play instead of me. The whole roster is filled in with old stalkers so i think no old stalker should be leaving. I am the new comer and i should compete with Adam for the spot. Clearly Adam is a better player than me so i am droping my name from the team. Don't worry about the money situation. You guys can pay the money to Rush and i can pick the money up whenever we meet up play ball.
why is this so uncomfortable? anyhoo. Remember the team that beat us? I kinda like the way they did subs. I think after the first five minutes, after every stop in play, or every two minutes it seemed as if they subbed two guys in. It was almost like in hockey and they have shifts. I remember the first team had nine guys on it, but it eventually got down to 8 players. I know my role on the team. Guard a perimeter guy, set blind picks, punch them in the nads, tip in miss shots if i can, disrupt their offense. If we make things equitable for nine guys on a roster, an equal amount should be about 22 minutes, which is one half. An even amount for 8 guys is only 25 minutes. I don't know. I don't care either way either.
You're pretty damn good player, don't sell yourself short. I think yall need to get together and practice soon.
NOBODY NEEDS TO QUIT THE TEAM. I didn't mean to step on anyone's toes (ie. minutes), and I sure as hell didn't mean to make anyone consider quitting altogether. Adam already told me that he won't be upset if there's no room for him, so it's not a huge deal. I just wanted to see what everyone thought, and now I know. That's all I asked. Trust me, there are no hard feelings. WE WILL ROLL WITH WHAT WE'VE GOT. Do we have a game next Tuesday or what? I hate this Marcus guy and I don't even know him.
