Anyone have any advice for getting a stain off the number of a Texans jersey? The number is screen printed on, not fabric. I've been told that dry-cleaning it would cause the screen printing to crack or run.

Did you ever consider going to a Dry Cleaner to ask them this question rather than cf.net?

Yes, went to 2 of them. They said the chemicals they use would peel the screen print off or crack it. I actually said as much in my first post. But thanks for your help. #sarcasm

Have you tried just water? If its on the number, i would think some light scrubbing would get it off

I use this method to treat stubborn unknown, garment stains:

-fill sink with HOT water. Put in half a scoop of OxiClean. Make sure it dissolves.
-Spray Simply Green directly on the stain, rub it in nicely.
-Submerge jersey into sink and leave overnight ~8 hours.
-Take Woolite Dark, pour into washer, set to autosoak (and steam clean if possible).
-Once the washer is done. Take out and LINE DRY only. Putting it into the dryer on heat will make it permanent. Hopefully the stain will have faded completely. If it's still there, repeat these steps after wearing the jersey normally. It usually is 95% faded after the 2nd time.

    Good luck.
