Trust me there are worse airports in Africa...but for a country the size of Nigeria, that airport is the $hit. Funny thing is, the domestic airport which is down the street from the international airport you're at, is way nicer than the one you're at. Ideally, a layover in any Nigerian city/airport other than Lagos is a better option. The airport in Abuja is not as bad. Hope you have something to read there and hope the a/c is working in the terminal you're at.
