Yellow Rose tastes kind of like a lighter Cheer. HEB Vintage Park has cases of Cheer. I imagine any of the nicer HEB's have cases. Central Market too probably.

It's a real hip, cool term us inner loopers are saying.

I thought the heb on westheimer was a nice heb. I'll try the one on Katy freeway.

Nah, if I remember it's 2nd tier. They're building a new one on Westheimer I believe that should be fancy. I think the nicer ones usually have an adjective in the name. Katy Freeway should be safe.

Nightmare on 1st Street really does deserve a taste. Much lighter and subtler than Pumpkinator.

Nightmare on 1st and Pumpkinator go well back to back. A pumpkin ale and a pumpkin stout. Both are actually around 10% ABV but Pumpkinator tastes hotter.

Yellow Rose is the best IPA made in Texas IMO.

They all "go hard" as they say these days.

You can taste the peaches more and the pecans less than last year.

So does this taste better aged or can I pop it open now? I recalled moestavern said to let it warm up a little before drinking it ice cold from the fridge.

    Warm it up.

    Goes even harder that way.

Don't bother aging. It's not really an aging beer as the spices start to fade.

I liked it a lot better a year later. But it's also possible the batches are just different.

Yeah I would agree with a year. Takes some of the alcohol heat away.

But beyond that not so much.

honestly wasnt a huge fan of the pumpkinator. But I grabbed a St Arnolds 20th Anniversary Ale today, and I loved it. Great stuff. Gonna try to grab another one tomorrow before the local grocery store runs out.

Was this a one batch thing or will there be some more before the year ends?

it came in the same 22oz bottle that the pumpkinator came in and was around the same price

It's a limited one-time release, but I think they made a lot. I still see it around.
