ALERT: I had my first Saint Arnold's Christmas Ale of the season last night. They have it on draft at Sherlock's on W Gray. A great start to the weekend!

It's back already...love the stuff. We never did get any Spring Bock out here in Huntsville. I was kind of bummed about that, but this will help.

    I think my favorites are

    Christmas Ale
    Winter Stout
    Spring Bock

A friend hooked me up with a case Divine Reserve for Christmas last year and that stuff was good.

At Boudreaux's last night for a quick dinner.

I asked the gentleman behind the counter if they still had Octoberfest on tap...he said no...they had just replaced it with "winter ale."

    "St. Arnold's?" I asked.

    "Yes." he replied.

    I smiled.

I walked over to the bar...and there adorning the tap was the sweetest green symbol that indeed signified the Advent of a new season. As it fell into the tap I wiped away a small tear, staring at the golden wonder filling the glass.

The season is upon us once again. Let us reflect in wonder.

look at you gettin all trick azz busta!!!

yeah..seriously early. i was shocked. he said, "winter ale" and i was thinking....did they get rid of the St. Arnold's tap? it took me a second or 2 to think that it was actually Christmas Ale, because it's usually last week in October at the earliest for taps...and in bottles in stores no sooner than Nov 1.

run...don't walk...to your nearest airport and board a flight to the closest city that is home to said brew.

BTW- DO NOT drink 12 of these even if you think you can beat it. I can down regular beer like water. 12 of these last year had me laying in bed for two days, and now the thought of it makes me wanna vomit in my cheeks.

Speaking of St. Arnold, I still have some Divine Reserve #9 from last year..
Imperial Pumpkin Stout strong as hell, I'm trying to get rid of some and make room for #10 coming out in Nov...
    Email me if interested...

I didn't know it had such a high alcohol content and it was a damn good party...for a bit, right before I spent the last half in the bushes, then out the window, then head on porcelain.
