most beer snobs i know say that... and to them i say: lick my taint! more st. arnie's for me to boogie with.
I just brewed a Holiday Cheer Ale. It won't be ready for another 5 weeks. I wonder if this is similar. I will try it. The spices are nutmeg, cinnamon, and orange zest.
I love the Christmas Ale, it's my favorite beer ever! It's clear now why God and Max are on such good terms. The man is smart.
I bought two sixers of this stuff after reading this thread yesterday. This is some really good ****. Thanks!
It's good that all these people are willing to try some new beers. If you like it, you may find yourself entering a new world of flavor in which, after you learn what's going on, it tastes terrible. And that will be a glorious day, a day within which you will understand the gravitas that is, say, Houblon Chouffe Dobbelen IPA Tripel.
I have never tried it. If it is that good, perhaps we should ring in the holiday season by knocking a couple back together.
has anyone tried Shiners Cheer christmas ale? didn't even know they made one, but i had a few pints last night at the bier haus and thought it was delicious... it's a little sweeter and lighter than most other christmas ales with a pronounced fruity aftertaste, but i thoroughly enjoyed it. picked up a sixer of st. arnolds christmas yesterday but didn't find anchor's offering at central market... gonna have to score some of shiners as well. i passed over celebration ale, but will probably cave and buy some again this year just to remind myself why i find it so overrated.
I tried this last night. At first I was like WHOAH! and then I was like woof. I've got a 5 pack of St. Arnold's Christmas Ale for sale.
