    Could be, but if we are talking a pick being involved, they wouldn't announce it at 8 a.m. Need to wait til the pick comes up to make sure the guy they want is available-- assuming, that is, they are making the trade with a specific prospect in mind.

    If it's a players only trade, then it would make sense to announce it at 8 a.m.

    Who knows?

    Chances are, it doesn't even have anything to do with the draft or team itself. It probably has something to do with "giving back to the fans" or something.

    I highly doubt SR610 knows something about the draft before ESPN did, so I'm willing to bet it's some kind of promotional thing for the draft party or something like that.

    ..........beat to the punch about the announcing team.

    If it was something more Generic like a trade that all Media outlets would be interested in, then 610 wouldn't have the exclusivity angle on the announcement.
