I heard they are going to rebuild the team next summer. They have too many old players who are not able to play before Tim retires. But, if they lost to the hornets (young, athletic team), they might rebuild earlier. :p

They extended Duncan's contract to 2011-12 in October. They're not re-building.

They will rebuild before Duncan retires. Of course, if you think the indicator of rebuilding the team is Duncan's retirement, that's fine.

Anyway, if the spurs are not a contender anymore, I cannot imagine Manu is still there. I think he is born to play in big moments, big games.

    Thank you very much

I hope they can make a run after Miller, he'd be great

Rafer is ok. I still like the way he totally schooled Sasha Vujavic. Now if only we can get the Franchise back.

I don't think VC is so bad.

Carter is lost right now, not washed up. I'm sure carter would love to play with his cousin. The amount of damage the Rockets could do with carter is crazy.

Also, nets are probably looking to rebuilt, so they'll want to trade away most of their veteran players. I think they'll trade carter over jefferson. We could include luther in a trade for Carter.

A BS leaving the bench call on Amare and Barbosa. Top that with Duncan tripping over his own feet being a foul on Shaq this year. Rocket's fans may think they were screwed by the officiating this year, but Suns' fans witnessed murder in broad daylight...twice.

They got royally screwed last year, but wasn't it Diaw and not Barbosa?

    does it matter?
The Celtics didn't get punished for nothing this year for leaving the bench

Excellent point, I hope that was Adelman's inference. It is past time for "Rafer Illusions" to end and "Rafer Reality" to begin.

That's wasn't my point, though. They were robbed last year, but have they been robbed in the playoffs every year since they've had Nash? Just because you have one of the best point guards in a long time, it doesn't make you an automatic contender. That's what I was trying to tell the other guy.

It really is not about Rafer.

If Yao-TMAC can not overcome Rafer, they will never win anything.

VC would be perfect. T-Mac + Carter would be dangerous on offense.

No thanks to Carter. If people think McGrady is soft, wait till they get a load of VC in a Rockets uni.

Exactly. Ever watch VC play nowadays? He has that Chris Webber scared "pinch" around the eyes ("please let me sprain my ankle, don't pass me the ball, please let a meteorite hit the arena...")

If VC's lost right now, then there must've had quite a manhunt for him in both countries he played in cuz he been MIA for a good part of the past half decade my friend.

VC is not the answer. You wanna rag on Tmac taking too many tough fadeaway jumpshots, wait till you see VC.

I'd take Corey Maggette and RJ over VC anyday for this team.
