    I’m offering up hypothetical reasons

I don’t think cleveland would do it without commitments beyond next year. They refused to move the pick already because lebron wouldn’t commit

CP not leaving. Cyber said the deal is effectively done.

Cyber also said Kawhi wanted to Lakers last week. His info is up to the second.

Knowing Pop, he’ll either trade Leonard to the Suns or to a team in Russia

Oh ok..maybe it's just me thinking I would rather have pg13 n harden then cp3 n harden. If I had to choose. I could swallow pg13 for the max. But man it's a little hard for cp3 who I love love love. But man knowing how he is always injured when it matters is scarying me.

He wants the Lakers, but that doesn't mean that Pops will oblige him.

PG is no where near the class of talent of CP3. The playoffs are proof of this. Get Tyreke here, and we will be set in the backcourt.

Good outside the box thought HP but ainge can beat that package with Tatum Brown and Sacs 1st next year unprotected. Plus he can thrown in many more assets if necessary

Boston can easily trump a Philly offer. They could dangle Kyrie, or a package of Brown or Tatum, Rozier and either Sacramento’s pick in 2019 or Memphis’ pick in 2020 or 2021 (whenever it conveys), plus a pick or two of their own. Kawhi is Boston’s to lose, unless Philadelphia is willing to trade Simmons for him. And if Philadelphia knew LeBron would come if Kawhi is there, they would be willing to do that.

Here’s another crazy, but plausible, idea:

Knicks get Kyrie (the star that will fill up the Garden)
    Boston gets Kawhi
    Spurs get Porzingis

You know Kawhi to Cavs aren't a bad idea if Spurs is willing to accept the number 8th pick.

I am sure Lebron would stay if Kawhi is coming. I am also pretty sure Kawhi would stay in Cleveland if knowing Lebron would stay as well.

The number 8th pick from Cleveland maybe the best deal out of anyone that can give.

Celtics is not going to offer tayum. Irving is coming off his 4th knee surgery and he has one year left on his contract.

i wonder how valuable kyrie is considered league wide. he's a fringe all-nba talent (tons of offense, poor defense) who is frequently injured. and you're about to have to give him an enormous max contract in one more season, at which point you won't be able to build a lot around him. not sure how good your team can be if kyrie is your best player. he got hurt this year and boston didn't even know he was hurt.

it's tough to tell how good brown and tatum are because stevens had everyone fitting in so well last year, but i think i'd take 3 more cheap years of tatum to see how he will develop before i wanted kyrie unless i was just sure i was ready to compete and needed his iso scoring.

Jayson Tatum is a nice player, but if push comes to shove, Danny Ainge will offer him to get a player the caliber of Kawhi Leonard. Perennial MVP candidates in their prime don’t come available every day. But for the sake of argument let’s say he makes Tatum untouchable. Jaylen Brown, Rozier and Sacramento’s 2019 pick is still an incredibly strong offer. They can add in Memphis’ pick in 2020 or 2021 too, if needed.

As for Kyrie, he had the Spurs on his list of the teams to be dealt to from Cleveland, and he proved this year in Boston that he could be the man on a good team. The Spurs would take him for Kawhi in a heartbeat.

Point is, these scenarios trump getting the 8th overall pick in the 2018 draft.

I don't think 8th pick can do it, they can do better with boston
