The playoffs have been a letdown this year so far in terms of competitive series.

The announcers are completely missing the point. It's not the quality of the shots as much as it's the incredible shooting display going on right now. With the exception of that last three (which isn't Parker's strength), most of his shots aren't particularly wide open. He's hitting 17 footers while on the move to his left. Meanwhile, the Thunder have missed point-blank layups on three consecutive possessions and dead-eye shooters can't even make free throws.

Right, but Parker is allowed to set his feet before rising up. It isn't as if he's still flying to the left as he rises for the shot.

I watched like 10 minutes of the 2nd while at the gym. Atrocious.

OKC got an offensive rebound on every other possession and still managed to fall further behind. Just horrid basketball.

about the only shooting i can ever think of better than this was the sonics shooting 20-27 on 3's against the rockets in the 1996 playoffs.

Ditto. I used to HATE these dudes, but damned if they aren't playing basketball the way it was always meant to be played right now. This could have a very positive effect on the way offense is coached in the NBA if they win it all. Just a much more entertaining brand of bball.

Have they run PnR with Westbrook and Durant? He's the only frontcourt guy that can score.

Here's an idea, have someone else try and guard Parker. Westbrook is getting torched and it's getting in his head. Not only are the Spurs dominating on the floor but Scott Brooks is getting vastly out coached. How long are you going to stay with Ibaka AND the waste of space Perkins when the Spurs are spreading you out? Let Durant play the 4, the Spurs only have 1 true big out there.

If teams like Miami or OKC win, more and more teams want to have 2-3 star/superstars with crap depth, vs a complete team.

Parker is one of the best point guards in the league. It's not like this is is coming out party. If it wasn't him taking all those shots, then it'd be Ginoboli, Duncan, or the supporting cast.
