I got this off of WOAI (Spurs Radio Site): http://www.woai.com/spurs/story.aspx?content_id=449BAEF0-5340-4EF0-AAF2-0A87262B08FA Rumor Mill: Spurs Looking To Trade For Curry LAST UPDATE: 12/15/2004 4:50:54 PM Posted By: Kori Ellis By Kori Ellis SpursZONE.com According to Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald, the San Antonio Spurs may be looking to acquire Eddy Curry from the Chicago Bulls. Spurs scout Lance Blanks reportedly watched the Bulls game Saturday night, and "there was talk he was focused on Bulls center Eddy Curry." Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich has been less than pleased with the play of center Rasho Nesterovic in recent weeks, but told the Ticket760 on Monday that he likes his improvement over the last two games. Chad Ford of ESPN Insider says that the Spurs also may be looking to move shooting guard Brent Barry. Barry, who is struggling with his shot and the Spurs' defensive scheme, has played very limited minutes in San Antonio's last three contests. With the Spurs record at 17-5 atop the Southwest Division, it's hard to imagine that there are any legs to the rumors.
It was for Sean Elliot's jersey retirement. Former San Antonio Spurs forward Sean Elliott smiles during a news conference in San Antonio where is was announced that his jersey will be retired in March. Elliott's number, 32, will be the fifth Spurs jersey number to be retired. (AP Photo/Eric Gay) http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/photo?slug=sad10112152341.spurs_elliott_sad101&prov=ap
He almost became a Rocket until he failed his physical and Horry came back and was key to the first championship run!
I am refraining from slipping in to total rant mode here, but simply put this is the crown jewel of Hoopsworld discredibility, and I got to tell ya... there's been a truckload of gems competing for that title.
It really is pretty amazing that people will still post links to their "news" as if it could even possibly be accurate. How does someone like him continually make crap up and still have followers? It doesn't make any sense.
