How is saying the Suns don't have enough firepower w/o JoeJohnson and saying before the series started a split of the 1st two games under the circumstances would have been a good thing for Phx contradictory? If any thing it was prophetic, obviously the Suns had a good chance to get a split and stay afloat while they try to get fresher and healthier but they did not and have no left no margin for error.

Manu is by far the Spurs 2nd best player and is an excellent all around player. I don't think Phx could advance w/o JoeJ, I don't think SA could advance w/o Manu. No great insight there.

Go easy on Ginobili... I mean sure he flops, but did u see that clutch layup he did? that was beyond sweet!
these days, almost everyone in the nba flops. I know Nash does it pretty frequently and unlike Ginobili (who gets bumped a lot), there often isn't even any contact when Nash falls to the ground. He's still a great point guard though. Today I even saw Dwyane Wade flop against the pistons.

Since when do nice plays excuse flopping?

Guys like Dirk and Ginobili have a reputation as floppers because they simply flop much more than most NBA players. I think 90% of NBA fans can see this pretty easily. George Karl saw it and commented on it, so did Nate McMillan and every announcer in a Spurs game notes Ginobili's rep as someone who is extremely dramatic when there's any contact. That play with the delayed reaction in the Seattle game really exposed manu.

If Ginobili flops 10 times in Game 3, but hits the game winning 3 pointer, we're supposed to give him props? He's a very good player, but he's a gutless flopping p***y.

I've never heard anyone call Nash a flopper. flopping once or twice here and there isn't the same as a guy like Manu who does it so consistently.

Most fans will agree that Vlade Divac, Malone, Stockton, and Dirk are some of the biggest floppers of this era and Ginobili's well on his way to being included in that group of pansies.

One of the plays in the final minute of last nite's game typifies how integral the flop is to Ginobli's overall game.

He holds the ball near the halfcourt stripe to dribble some clock out. He then drives straight on past the arc. Marion fights around a pick to get into defensive position against Ginobli's drive. But Ginobli, instead of driving left and right by Marion, instead decides to drive head on right into Marion. He himself forces all the contact and essentially pins Marion against the pick, flailing his torso and appendages in the process. Marion had no chance to step back and recover or even get out of the way because he was cleverly sandwiched between Ginobli and the pick. It was painfully obvious that Ginobli had no intention of even getting to the hoop, or attempting any shot, or making any sort of legitimate basketball play on this possession. His aim was to simply force the refs to make a call and to land up on the line for 2 gimme freethrows. And he was successful in doing this.

No doubt it was a smart move by Ginobli because his gamble ended up paying off. Even on such an important possession for both teams with less than a minute of clock left, the refs bit. As they usually do for him.

That's whack. Marion bodied into Ginobili trying to cut him off and force the drive wide. Flop my butt.

You must be from Argentina to have a take like that. That was a blatant flop; Stockton was probably laughing while he watched that one.

He's Argentinian? Then he's probably a flop. Most are, watch football and you'll know. In fact, most Latin players tend to have such tendencies. I'm part Peruvian, so I'm not being racist here... just self critical!

    Suns are screwed.

It's over...not just this series. Might as well give the Spurs the trophy.

Face it guys, Manu is a great player. Who cares if he flops. Who would you much rather see, Malone flop or a poor little long nosed Argentine flop. Let the Argentine flop and dont hate on him so much just because he can steal your balls, play crazy defense, shoot the 3 and drive it to your hole!

    Go Spurs!Go Argentina! Go Manu!
