Really luck? The Spurs were looking at foreign players before anyone else in the league - just an advantage that they cleverly used. Now the Lakers are a ******* lucky org, and are spoiled brats because of it.
The Luckiest club in the league is .... hands down the clippers, pretending playing w/ ticket sales. Sold out more games than the Rockets.
The Spurs are a great organization. They get lots of credit for keeping the team competitive on a lower budget and with low draft picks. But lets be real, the reason the Spurs win is because they won a lotto for Duncan.
Wow, aren't you tired of them winning and us not? Please stop riding the spurs on a ROCKETS forum. Yes they are a good organization but damn! I am also tired of watching Genobili flopping, he had a couple of good ones tonight.
Smartest. Spurs wanted Batum on their team. Rockets drafted Batum only to trade block the Spurs. Looking at how he's turned out...
I don't care, I'm rooting for the Spurs. The Rockets will always be my favorite team but you have to have a second favorite. Besides I'd rather see the Spurs win over the Lakers or Cavaliers.
Am I the band him guy? But on a serious note, I love that the Mavericks are out in the first round again! The pain brings me joy. And Mark Cuban's tears bring a smile to my face. The enemy of my enemy is my friend!
Damn--I thought it was an April fools joke years ago, but it has happened--this has become a Spers fan board.
The Spurs are a lucky organization. The lottery ball bounced their way, and they got Duncan. The ball bounced their way and Horry sank a three and they won another championship. The thing about the Spurs that I do give them credit for is that they put themselves in situations where if they do get a lucky break they take advantage of it. When Horry sank that three the game was close that it won them the game. In all their championship seasons they have won a lot of very close games trough out the season and playoffs, they never dominate. It always seems like mental colapses by other teams (Mavs). Their playoff pats seem to be against teams that colapse on themselves. They have never dominated. To me the sign of a dominating team is if they can win back to back championships with the same core group. The Spurs have never been able to do that and they have had the same 3 top players for a long time. Its tougher when everyone is trying to knock you off the top.
I really don't see the Spurs as a rival. We haven't really had a relevant game with them in this decade. I don't like any of the playoff teams in the west this season, but if I had a pick of one of the 8 teams... I had to go with the Spurs because of their humble players and fan base.
Spurs are the best organization in the WORLD. They are better than Goldman Sachs, Wal Mart, Greenpeace and Al Qaeda and far better than Al Qaeda in Iraq.
