Amare shouldn't be taunting anyone especially when he was made to look like a little girl on the court after Nash's injury.

Suns score a lot of points. However, their defense tends to give out more.

considering they're 31-10 (and now 31-5 when healthy) that doesn't seem to be true.

All night Amare had been serving Timmy with a series of facials.

So in one play late in the game (4th I believe), Amare was setup for a setup for a dunk from a quasi pick-n-role involving Steve Nash and as Amare was went hard to the rim Tim Duncan challenged him hard to prevent the dunk. Amare rimmed out the dunk attempt but Timmy was called for the foul.

Amare promptly (while on the floor from the hard foul), went into this push-up routine to taunt Timmy and the Spurs (like saying to them "you cannot stop me"). He finished that crass move with a two hand muscle flex and quickly Steve Nash came to breakup that junk up. Meanwhile the faithful fans in the Arena cheered him on while all of this was going on. Amare went to line and missed both free throws in order. The Spurs rallied from a bunch of points down to later win the game OT.

He just did not have to show up Tim Duncan. Totally uncalled for - his youthfulness got the worse of him there.

one of the best games this year. very exciting and very entertaining!

I don't like amare. He is doing well on the court, but his personality is just not my style. You should be tough, but you have to show respect to great players.

If Gino is only a role player, I would love to have him on my team. Heck, if we had Gino on our team, we could easily make the Western conference final to say the least (even if we don't need a 2).

Missed what sounds like one hell of a game. Stoudemire really did that?? What a chump! Glad they lost, just this once. Ginobili must have been in an insane zone. Whoa!

So Stoudamire goes from an 8pt game without Nash to a 15-19, 38pt game with Nash.

It is things like that, that make you wonder what YAO could do if 1) he had a good PG dishing him the ball for EASY baskets and 2) had a quick PF to watch his back with defense.

Stoudamire has a GREAT support group that ALLOWS him to showcase his skills. Yao does not.

With that said, what an amazing game! And what can you say about Ginobili! The guy is fearless!

Yet we've beaten Memphis 2 out of 3 times this year! :p But congrats to Memphis for beating a Rockets team that had to grind it out with the best team in the league the night before! :p

Yeah. . I was cheering Suns till that point.. But after Amare's show off, I was waiting for them to Loose. At that stage in the game you dont do anything to fire up the opposing team..

Ginobilli dunk on Three Suns was wondeful. He crossed over Joe johnson, Jumped over marion.. who is about 5ft away from basket.. and dunked. Amare was just standing there watching.
It was a pretty good game..

What was funny was that Amare was basically shut down in the final few minutes when the spurs simply switched on the pick and roll. With Tim guarding Nash, and Beno guarding Amare, they couldn't score. He's a real tough guy that would rather just be unguarded I assume.

Ginobili played like a superstar yesterday. His dribbing, ball movement, shooting and finishing was great. Marion,Johnson and Q are all pretty good defenders but none of them could stop him.
Right now he deserves to be in the all star game.

That got to be pathetic. Amare couldn't even post up Beno the rookie PG? There goes the theory of Amare's so called "power" game.

Well in Amare's deffense.. he could never get the ball. Once Tim rotated on to defend Nash, Nash couldn't do much but dribble around with the ball.

Manu was out of this world. He, Udrih and Barry spear headed the Spurs comeback. It was a lovely game. Popovic refused to see his lads give up so he sat the surprisingly ineffectively Bowen and Tony Parker for Brent Barry and Udrih. The Suns started showing off and their fans went crazy after their 17 point lead.

I was fooled too I thought it was over for the Spurs so I started casting an eye to the Lakers game. But what do you know, the Spurs cut the lead by half in time. The Suns started wearing down due to their lack of bench support (their bench scored on 3 points against the Spurs minimum of 38) and Steve Nash started commiting uncharacteristic turnovers. It took a miraculous 3 by "Matrix" to send the game to OT. From there, Manu and Timmy combined to bring the Spurs home to victory with a little help from Brent's after-thought 3-point shot.

Dem Spurs are solid but we have their number :p

Tim shows his class by not taking the bait. Besides Amare despite his great numbers is not in Duncan's class. He is a pleb (figuratively speaking) with good stats until proven otherwise.

Tim has got two rings, two MVP's, two Finals MVP, All-NBA and All-Defensive selections, ROY while Mr Dunkathon has only got a ROY to show for. Not even close.

Is it just me that sees Amare as the young Shawn Kemp circa early 90's? Steve Nash and Gary Payton were 2 different types of PGs but both Amare and Kemp were significantly lesser players without their spoonfeeding PGs.
