Yikes, this guy was murdering the D-League. Was averaging 25 points, 10 boards and shooting 70%!! Not crazy to think he could start for 5-6 teams in the NBA.

5 years ago he'd be starting for 15 teams in NBA. Back when everyone thought Hibbert was a force and everyone tried to bulk up their bigs to match with Hibbert.
Oh wow! Spurs got a keeper. LMA is the happiest because this guarantees he won't have to play C on a full-time basis.
When you consider this was the first time all season he's gotten extended playing time, indeed they were. He won't be a star, but I expect him to become a solid rotation player next season.
Better not lose track of this season. He's a mistmatch for everybody. I expect his rise to continue and if he goes uninjured he could very well be a primary rotation piece by the playoffs. eman, Spurs are just smart. Once again, just like Whiteside, Rockets had just as much chance to sign this guy as anybody. Spurs only paying him $1.2 million. And if I knew this guy was out there and ready to go then pray tell me why didn't we? We suffered with Joey Dorsey all season after passing on Whiteside....then this summer we lost JSmoove and needed another big and apparently we weren't interested in signing anybody because we didn't. We're still a big short. And it's killed the start of the season. At least the Spurs get it. The Spurs are scouting for basketball players. That is guys that can actually play the game and play it at a high level with a multiplicity of good-to-great skills. It was obvious watching Boban dominate in Europe that he was good enough to be in the NBA and better than half the backup centers in the league and a few of the starting centers. B-Bob is simply this year's version of last year's Carl, who kept torching me about wanting the Rockets to sign Whiteside.
You can't play him against Golden state though. In today's NBA that's almost all that matters at this point for a team like the Spurs.
That may possibly be true. But GS couldn't play Bogut against Cleveland either. They finally resorted to Draymond at the 5. However, if the Spurs get past the Warriors...they most certainly will need to play Boban against the Cavs. Unless the Cavs pull a Dubs and run Lebron out there at 5.
Yeah they "resorted" to Draymond and have won about 30 straight games since they realized their small ball lineup basically amounts to a cheat code against the entire NBA. But yeah, fear Boban.
