Only thing really missing from the big 3 in san antonio is the crazy dunks. Tim duncan is just pretty all fundamentals. Nothing really too exciting but he just knows how to win. Maybe the creator of this thread thinks san antonio doesn' t have a star is because nobody really gives anybody a facial on the team.

Appreciate it Dakota......never thought i'd agree with you especially considering your thoughts on brooks and chase budindger but all these guys claiming the spurs have superstars have no idea what they are taking about. Like i said the only one you can even make an argument for is parker.

They don't have superstars, but they have a core surrounded by great role players. We have good role players, but we lack a true nucleus.

It also helps that Pop is their coach.

Parker and Dragic's stats (as a starter) are really close.

The Spurs are simply out smarting everyone, their SYSTEM is flat out wonderful to watch.

    Man, can Pop coach....

At some point you have to let your nucleus develop, you can't just keep churning the roster - the Spurs have familiarity and chemistry built up over years of time, and most importantly they have trust.

The Rocks have some pieces to build around - maybe they will keep some of them.

Duncan and Manu were saving themselves for the playoffs the whole season. Their numbers were down for that reason.

    Seriously dude.

We don't have to like the Spurs, but Duncan, Parker, and Manu are stars.
    and champions.

They sure are.....much respect.....espeically when you add in their small market status and Popovich too.

Amazing run they have had and are having.

    I am jealous.

You must have forgot that there was basically no offseason to prepare teams this year. SAS have been doing the same thing for nearly a decade so they didn't miss a beat. The Rockets ( our team you disgrace to Dream's name) got a new coach and were injury stricken for the second half.

    spurs big 3 parker/ginobili/duncan

    rockets big 3 lowry/lee/scola

We obviously should be contending in that case....wait our bench too camby/ppat/bud/lowry and o yea its bc we have chandler parsons who over 25% of clutchfans posters believe is the next big thing at SF who will probably be adam morrison college version in the NBA one day when in reality he will probably top out at 14/6 and good D and be a nice starter/role player on a good team.

I think that is the problem I have very high standards for Superstar status, there are maybe 5-10 guys in the league max that are superstars, IMO.

A superstar is a franchise player. A guy you build your championship team around. If anyone thinks that a guy like Manu is a superstar at this point in their career they are complete idiots.
