Wait until games start being decided in the last couple of minutes because of this. Fans are going to howl louder than the players.
If you saw a professional yelling at a coworker day in and day out and said, that's just part of the job??? Yelling at the ref is not exactly classy and it passes on to the public. It doesn't belong anywhere, really and truly. This will change the game, but it will be a good thing in the long run. Yelling and throwing tatrums over little things like a foul call sets an example for everyone watching. In baseball, if you do something like argue with the ump, you get thrown out. This rule is overdue.
jeeez, rasheed needs to realize that not everything is about him. the nba made this rule for dirk, tim, and manu.
EXACTAMUNDO. Why are baseball players able to control themselves when there is a bad call. 99% of the time the worst thing you will see is a guy giving the stinkeye to the ref (EDIT of course I meant ump) on a called 3rd strike. For some reason in basketball (and football) they guy has to put on a broadway show after half the plays.
the best part about this change is how the media has been showing a Rasheed montage of all his overreactions from the past few years. priceless stuff.
