dont be haters yall, at least texas is representing! what, would yall rather have the lakers or the jazz or phoenix? since it cant be the rockets, why not a fellow texas team?
I live in New York City. You think I would be cheering for the Nets, but I like to see Texas represent. Call it state pride...its a joke, but I feel it.
I'm rooting for San Anton. I guess going to college there game me some ties. Funny thing is when I was living there, the only games I went to were Rockets games, and you KNOW I wasn't cheering for the Spurs. But they're a classy organization. I can't say I've heard their guys talking **** about us. And besides, they knocked the Lakers out of the playoffs, so you gotta love that! Mavs on the other hand ... blah, can't stand 'em.
keep it in the west. thatd at least give us something to dethrone that we feel somewhat passionate about. who would care if we dethrone the nets????? oh and i dont wanna read anymore posts about how bad eddie is and how dumb it is that we traded an "NBA champion" jefferson. why exactly do we hate san antonio? jazz? ok, they play dirty, but san antonio is a classy organization. i dont hate anyone on that team! DR and TD are nice guys and they play guys that no one had heard of before last year practically in jackson and bowen. they dont hoard talent like the mavs. you cant honestly hate them for getting handled by us in 95....or are people bitter bc theyre a better team than us?! ALOT OF TEAMS WERE BETTER THAN US LAST YEAR! why not say "@#$% them" too....
since when are sports fans in general considered cerebral? and reading this board in particular i could say the same thing about some rockets fans

You can hate all you want. However, that was a fun series to watch. I watched in envy and wondered why we kept hearing about how the Rockets are a young team and its hard to feed the post excuses. I root for the Spurs because I hope for the Rockets to play that type of basketball. The Spurs: 1. Don't hit the backboard after slams 2. Don't skip the ball up the court while down 15 points 3. Don't showboat after every dunk 4. Play defense 5. FEED THE FREAKING POST 6. Understand their roles 7. Are a sound, young fundamental team I hate the Jazz! The Spurs I respect and envy. The Rockets and their new coach can do a lot worse than pattern themselves after the Spurs. Now that I have said all of that, off to relive Hakeem's abuse of Robinson!!
