Anyone else have a Sprint phone with 4G LTE? I have my Galaxy S3 and wanted to see what kind of connection/speeds others are experiencing.

Found the above article and this guy seems to have found a spot with a strong connection. I haven't had the same luck in my part of town, which is the I-10/610 intersection near IKEA.

Here's a link that shows some tower locations and which ones have gone through data upgrades recently.

Any areas around town where you've had luck picking up a strong signal??

I've had one for a few weeks. I do not notice anything spectacular yet. I haven't even noticed being connected to LTE for my phone (if they even notify you; i.e. when the phone says 3G by the signal)

Go to settings, and mobile networks and select the network mode as CDMA/lte. I noticed on two Sprint LTE phones that they have it defaulted to CDMA only.

I'm assuming you're in a Sprint LTE market

Wait - did they finally turn it on in Houston???

(after a few minutes of checking, turning it on..)

    WOW.

    Wow.

Great strong signal in the 1960/Jones Rd area..

Holy mackarel, this is as fast or faster than wifi.

Going to be messing with this today, but thanks man, I think you just made my day, my week, heck the whole rest of the YEAR.

If you've got a signal from your house, you've got it made. LTE is definitely faster than my crappy low tier Uverse broadband.

Root it and tether while Sprint's unlimited data plan still lasts.

Sprint turned on 4G LTE on 7/15. I don't think it's full coverage yet. I would say in the next 6-12 months, everyone should see an improvement in 3g speeds also.

Here's a good site for more info.
