    This is ME piling on.

Even though I've been piling on for two seasons.

    He's horrendous.

When Backe comes back, put miller and springer in triple a, and put sampson and bucchholz in the bullpen. would make it a lot better..

You need to better acquaint yourself with the transaction rules of major league baseball.

That's what sucks. We can't move them to AAA due to tenure and contractual reasons.

I think we should move him to the concession stand. If he serves up Miller Lite and hot dogs anything like he serves up gopher balls, he'll be an instant success.

Exactly! How many times in the late innings of a tight D & D thread have I handed a 2 run lead over to Mad Max to come in and nail it down and he comes in and walks a poster cause his Christian ramblings can't find the debate strike zone and then throws a big fat tater ball tangent to the next poster allowing them to blow the thread totally out of the ballpark.

Yep MadMax has got to go. I'm looking at some prospects over in the Supersonics fan forum who we might be able trade MM for. Perhaps a package of him and Deckard who although old is still good for a few innings of hard nosed debate for a young flamethrower of a debater. ;)

I still support Springer. He pegged Bonds.

Let's see... Here are our relievers:

    Name / Record / ERA / WHIP / BAA

    Springer (1-0) 4.00 1.04 .212
    Wheeler (1-5) 4.09 1.27 .250
    Miller (0-2) 4.09 1.41 .271
    Qualls (3-2) 4.12 1.15 .241
    Borkowski (1-0) 4.46 1.28 .258
    Nieve (3-3) 4.61 1.30 .259 (mostly as a starter)
    Lidge (0-2) 5.55 1.51 .241

We definitely should get rid of the guy in the bullpen with the best ERA, best WHIP, and best BAA - clearly that will solve the problem!

Many people hear what they want, read what they want, see what they want...all with the sole goal of bolstering whatever preconceived notion they ascribe to. And you're not going to change that.

    Good try, though.

In Springers defense while he did give up three runs in the 8th, he wasn't responsible for the blow up in the 9th. Right now the whole bullpen scares me, not just Springer.
