My understanding of Clutch's post wasn't that he wanted them to come on, he told them that they would, which is what I don't get. Who does he think he is?

I think this has gotten beyond silly. If Clutch and Lance wanna meet at the bike racks, bring it. The rest of you calling out someone you've never met saying he owes you some explanation because you happen to post here is ridiculous. I'm not expecting any apologies or any explanations. It's between Clutch and Lance at this point. Move along...move along. Nothing to see here.

Who gives a crap about what Lance says anyway? That was between Clutch and Lance. Let them deal with it. I support Clutch for the way he handled that thread. If Lance doesn't like it, he can eat hat.

As far as Lance on the air goes, overall, I like the guy. I think he's generally funny and knowledgeable. I also think he's possibly a little too in to gambling (not implying illegal activity just his morbid fascination with gambling).

I do agree that the morning crew shouldn't put Gilbert on as much as they do. Gilbert has some sort of mental handicap and putting him on the air constantly puts him in a position to get laughed at a lot. I'm not down with that at all. If Lance wants to make fun or chastize posters for what they write here, he isn't doing anything most of us do ourselves from time to time.

John Granato is just a clown. He's all about shock value. Nothing wrong with it really because he does add something to their show.

Rich Lord is a goofy dumbass. He has pansy muscial tastes. Bruce Springsteen is east coast hype plain and simple. Name some of Springsteens "great songs".... um exactly. And the VY thing, get a room Rich.

I actually like hearing a different side of Vandermeer. He has to tone it down a little because of his primary job with the Texans but he's funny from time to time and holds his own on most subjects.

I don't give a rat's ass one way or another about Matt and Adam.

I was referring to Lance for making demands of people when he really has no right. MadMax is spot on though, this has been overblown.

Holy carp! I've been watching this thread headline for a while, thinking, "some newbies must be having an argument in that thread about firing JVG or something..." and I haven't clicked on it until now!

Thanks very much, guys. I would LOVE to make a call to 610 and speak about this!

But I must say that, though I've had similar successes, I would not want to 'represent' the bbs without gaining approval from Clutch to do so (reminds me of the T-shirt thread, eh, Clutch? :) )

And, honestly, he's done a fine job and probably shouldn't give me such a green light under this delicate situation (unlike the T-shirt thread) :D .

I can understand differing viewpoints, but from my view, people can talk about this all they want or not - doesn't matter. Lance made this a public issue -- not I. If he's going to call me/us "idiots" on the air, of course we're going to defend ourselves... and the facts of the entire situation have to be presented in order to do that.

You honestly wouldn't want to hear what Lance has to say in his defense off calling everyone here 'idiots'?

    Nope...

and Lance hasn't shown himself on here to explain himself. I think Clutch and every user on here has the right ot be pissed about what Lance said about this site. If someone who doesn't surf this site wants to say this BBS is stupid and amateur thats fine, but don't lie about how often you visit the site. Clutch called Lance out on what he was doing and it didn't work and I for one am glad.

exactly, you should have told lance he shouldn't be too worried because real journalists don't use fan sites for news. I actually like the morning show but this whole situation is so silly and the move by him was bush league. posters can say this is between lance and you but the only reason this is a topic is because of them. and its silly.

I honestly don't care. And I'm having a hard time why understanding why anyone other than Clutch and maybe sjackson would take this so personally.

LOL! Well, you have a bunch of former NBA players on ESPN and other networks getting paid chump change.

Anyways, it's not like JB made that much money in his NBA career.

These guys know if they want a second career after they hang 'em up they will need to lower their expectations salary-wise...no 'real' job will pay you to sit on the bench and do nothing like the NBA does.

Hey, didn't JB do the show for free today? That could be a good starting point ;)

    Chance,

Where can I go or how can I get a copy of some of your earlier stuff like the Taco Bell song or the Jalepeno Pepper song? I thought your old stuff was funny as hell.

He's still sitting at a $10+ million net worth. He won't have to worry about money ever again.

It was interesting that Barry mentioned to the Rockets that if Clyde didn't want to do games next year he would want to. Also, he was going to talk to TNT today about working with them.

Definitely tell him to take a hike if his asking price is on the order of $10 million dollars a month.
