I don't see how it's all that different different. One situation they allowed the run to count when they didn't have to and the other he stopped play in the penalty area with no keeper instead of scoring when he didn't have to. Here's another example, one team passes the ball to another teams keeper to restart play and the keeper accidentally lets it in, to make up for it they allow the other team to score and then continue on. You can say it's not the same since nobody was carried around, but that's just splitting hairs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhib5GKBP14&NR=1
Have you ever noticed that injuries like these during races on the track are not when the race finish is tight? It's always the guy in 3rd or 4th place... I'm sure one of you will find a YouTurd video that will show otherwise.
It was a staggered start. Its hard to tell what place he was in at the time. If I recall right he was one of the favorites in the race.
Didn't he have a bad ankle or some leg injury in that series? I remember the announcers talking about that but I cannot remember why he didn't run the bases. You should have asked for your money back plus interest from Ventura aka Nolan's punching bag.
AND YOU... ummm... uhhh... OK, that was good. I knew it was staggered... 'cuz it's the curvey-typed race... but it DID look like the other peeps had a better start than him... I know about track... alls I'm saying is that you NEVER see the hammy pulls at the END of the race when it's CLOSE... and some dudes rather fake the injury to look like they weren't "beat." Oh, c'mon... ya'll didn't see that?
Where is softball's Fair Play or similar rule or website? Or even baseballs? Here is Soccer's FFP "The generic concept of fair play is a fundamental part of the game of football. It represents the positive benefits of playing by the rules, using common sense and respecting fellow players, referees, opponents and fans." Soccer has a Code of Conduct and it can be enforced by the ref. The ref could have blown the whistle when the keeper went down if he saw fit. I've never seen runners stop running bases if a outfielder goes down to injury. I have seen plenty of inside the park homers though.
