I saw the NBA.com article, but this one is a different one. Looks like it wasn't just a couple ClutchFans posters who thought the Rockets were instantly a bottom five team in the NBA, all the media did as well. http://www.cbssports.com/nba/story/...f-rockets-begin-to-lag-they-can-jettison-tmac I also liked this little tidbit. Also got a TMac mention.
I wasn't aware Hornets had a tougher schedule.. If thats the case their record isnt that bad considering.
These articles will never get old for me. It's just shocking how quickly the media forgets how well this team has always performed minus Yao and McGrady, as it's not like that's been an uncommon theme over the last 5 years. Hell, I've even had money riding on the Rockets making the playoffs since before the season began! When they clinch a spot and my buddy pays up, that'll go straight to the tip jar.
Well, usually that only occurred when Yao or McGrady went down. But this is a far stronger teams then those in the past. People don't know exactly where we are going to hurt them from. It could be Brooks, Ariza, Scola, Landry, Budinger, heck even Battier, Andersen and Lowry have been capable hitting the double digit mark offensively. The only team that has been able to blow us out convincingly has been Dallas.
That was something I started looking at after suspiciously putting the Hornets in my rear-view mirror. They're going to be a much tougher team than they've shown. I think we'll improve as the season goes on (and yes, when the schedule gets easier) but I really wonder what this team will have left at the end when the schedule is brutal.
I'd say the Oklahoma city is a better story because of they way they've turned around their loosing attitude
They have one of the top 3 players in the game You can't write them off, but they are a flawed team with bad chemistry.
