    As I look around at the sports scene . . . .
I have come to a conclusion . . . and maybe you guys have too

THE NBA IS THE BIGGEST FRONTRUNNER LEAGUE of the big 4

Meaning. . . in football. . you maybe a fan of some players
even teams you don't live near . .. but generally
you a fan of the team . . . sure you have your share
of instant Giants fans this year but . . . it is not over the top

In the NBA though . . . .The team that looks like the powerhouse
INSTANTLY gets a ridiculous amount of fans.
I think it is probably more of a PERSON driven league than the rest
    and this attributes to it
There were not a bunch of BULLS fans as much as MJ fans
No Cleveland fans .. . . just LeBron fans

NBA have the most Nomadic fan base I guess
The Average NBA Fan seems to change their allegience . . almost yearly
I don't think Baseball, Hockey and the NFL have it at such a level

[This of course does not apply to the average CLUTCHFAN . . but . . ]
    Am I Wrong?

One player in the NBA can carry a team if good enough.
One player in the NFL can't carry a team if good enough.
Not to mention superstars are emphasized in the NBA.

    I don't know . . . I have never contemplated.
    What does this mean?
Surely, there must be an . . . answer.

Oh my, THE NBA A FRONTRUNNER???

    What about . . . The Rockets?
Can they to be . . . FRONTRUNNERS?

Does RocketRiver actually talk the way he types???
    If so, that makes him . . . well . . . a CREEP!

Try reading RR's posts in a Christopher Walken voice in your head. It works for me.

I wonder if SeƱor River ever learned that a period ends a sentence.

Also, ellipses are interchangeable... for him... maybe?

You may be right but I have to think about it. I would say is the NFL is the least front-running league.

If you come down to it everybody looks at Basketball as a sport of proving yourself and a very prideful game (not saying other sports aren't), that carry's on with the best scorers in the league who just embarrass people left and right.
    Leading to bandwagons.

    Is English your first language?

Anyway, in my mind this is because the players are much more visible in basketball. No hats, helmets, etc. I think that's the answer.

Sorry to double post but meant to also add that the small size of the court and fan proximity to the court also attributes to the "more fans of players than fans of teams" concept you are exploring.

I think gaagaaa gu guuu was my 1st language
but English came quickly after that

    Possible.
I think the players being more easily recognizable
I think the way the NBA is marketed.
It does not say WATCH NBA BSKETBALL
Does not say WATCH THE HEAT VERSUS LAKERS

    It is LeBron versu Kobe

    Rocket River
Maybe they should make it a 1 on 1 game
