BTW, several of the guys that played OOTP have just disappeared completely..guys like Heath, Dean, Zac D, and of course the mythical fyrsten. I know that Zac is at college (I guess he is still in college but maybe graduated?) but I would like to know what some of the other old gang are up to.

I emailed Heath a little while back - he's still alive and kicking but obviously not active on the board anymore. I see Zac occaisonally post in the D&D. Deano...who knows?

The rest of us seem to be around still. I miss the days of Pedro Loya.

Ya, I still remember the controversy of you "inventing" another persona and taking over a team so that team's best players could be traded to your brewers and Zac punished you by injuring Loya for a whole season (although I think at first he may have killed him in a car accident). Good times, good times...

Heath conspired to end the league after I finally built my dynasty. Only took 52 years.

I used to play the ish out of OOTP. I was a much better baseball fan because of it.

It wasn't just text, but my favorite manager type of game ever was the Front Page Sports Football series.

It had the option to design plays and practice them using 3D models and it also had the option to play games but they were really basic graphics and I almost never played that way. I just managed the roster, drafted, and tried to design some cool plays. The draft/scouting system was good and deep and players seemed to develop realistically over time.

I have always looked for something similar but have never found anything I liked as much.

    DRAFT DAY PRO BASKETBALL 3

This is the best basketball sim ever made. It's the OTTP of basketball sims. So much smarter and realistic engine than 2K franchise mode. This is the game to get if you want to play a really good basketball sim. Nothing else even comes close. It's very in depth, puts any other franchise mode in any basketball game to shame.

Always wanted to do an online league with fellow clutchfans but I don't have the time.

OOTP 13 is $19.99 right now.... but I don't know if I should go ahead with getting that or waiting until OOTP 14 comes out.
