As soon as I can find the podcast I'll post it. It should show up here (now embedded by GIGO below, DDL here).

-OKC is the best team in the West, Denver win vs Spurs last night makes it easier to avoid Thunder. Avoiding OKC is our main goal.
Highlight of the interview was [terrible] caller karaoke [to Bon Jovi], ha. -- OKC is the best team in the West. Avoiding them is a good thing. -- Denver, coach Karl has been running a system similar to ours but has been doing it for years. They're a more experienced team. If we drew Denver, that would be a difficult opponent. I do think we got a shot, really everybody, but OKC is the best team in the playoffs. Avoiding them is the main goal at this point. If we get to 6, we can't play them. -- We do like our 4 to step out, if all else equal but all else isn't equal. Greg Smith has easily played better than the other bigs. Getting him out there more minutes will help us win. He's helping us win in a big way. He's stepped up the most so he's getting the starting role. After him, it's Terrence Jones. He's taken minutes and proved he belongs out there.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Current opponent odds: Denver 48%, San Antonio 30%, Oklahoma City 16%, Clippers4%, Memphis 2%</p>— Daryl Morey (@dmorey) <a href="https://twitter.com/dmorey/status/322344163624497153">April 11, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
The memorable part of the interview was the exchange between Adam Wexler and Morey early on regarding player turnover. Wex said something about how McHale has basically coached 4 different teams in 2 years because of the roster turnover and how hard that must be. Morey responded by saying some of the following points: -McHale has done a great job. He is so impressed that they are where they are despite the turnover. -Reiterated (maybe the most clearly I've ever heard?) that his employment hinges on getting the team back to title contender without ever taking a major dip. -He's assured McHale that...they could bring back the entire team if they want to because of team options and such. The last part led to an exchange where Matt and Adam asked "assured him of what exactly?" Was Morey saying they were planning to keep the team together? (Sounded really surprised to hear him say that) Morey clarified that they COULD keep team together, not WOULD keep team together. (awkward laughing)
I don't know why he says to avoid OKC. Lost to Denver 0-4. Actually won a game against OKC. I really don't want to see the Nuggets and their coach.
Playing denver is basically McHale vs Karl. Playing OKC is playing more talented and athletic players. I do think Karl will flatly out coach McHale. So we are in a no win situation.
regardless...would you rather play KD, Westbrook, Ibaka, Thabo (Rocket Killer!!) and Kmart? Or Iggy, Chandler, McGee, 'dre, Faried, Brewer?? I'd rather play the spurs, but damn...between OKC and Denver..its a no brainer.
LMAO!! those were not nuggets 3 stringers wow!! Also it is a 48% chance that we PLAY them..not that we will beat them.....
What annoyed me about this interview was how long it took Matt and Adam to actually talk about the rockets with Daryl. They were asking him about PED's/Kobe's "platelet therapy/HGH and wanted Daryl to answer questions on it like he was some sort of expert on the subject. Daryl simply responded by basically saying he had no real clue as to what they were asking about.
OKC is definitely the team we don't want to face. Just because we beat them in one, very hard fought game doesn't mean we could do the same in the playoffs. Not only are they extremely talented....they're built to beat a team like us. They can go fast or slow, can clog the middle, and have perimeter defenders to control the 3 point line. IMO, this is Morey's preferred order: 1) Memphis 2) LA Clippers 3) San Antonio 4) Denver 5) OKC
