Here is a list of my favorite Sports Radio 610 personalities:

    1. Charlie Palillo: He knows his stuff. Comes off as being very knowledgeble on the sports scene. Can seem slightly snobbish

    2. Jim Rome: yes he's repetivie but his interviews are the best. funny at times

    3. Mark Vandermeer: seems like a really nice person. doesn't sound snobbish at all despite great resume. doesn't seem as knowledgeble as guys like Charlie. funny; I love when he has Bullard on

    4. Rich Lord: great sidekick to Charlie. good sense of humor.

    5. Lance Zierline sp?: best comic of the entire station: enjoy his views on the Rockets

    6. Dan Patrick, Rob Dibble, Phil the Show Killer: I enjoy the interviews. spend too much time laughing at themselves

    7. Jeremy Foster: pure comic relief; not as good when he tries to be serious on a topic

    8. Matt Jackson: good a times; enjoy the Rockets Fan feedback; too much pausing and repetitive Jim Rome wannabe

    9. John Granato: seems snobbish too me; don't like how his jokes are putting callers down; seems mean even though i'm sure jokes are meant in jest

    10. John McClain: I am not a big of a football fan so I cringe everytime I hear this guy is coming on because I know I will have to listen to football talk for the next hour even though there is nothing of importance going on in the NFL; seems like a nice guy though.

    11. Rob Costa and Danny Vera: can't tell these 2 guys apart; seems like a poor man's Jeremy Foster; not very funny; weekend show seems unprepared and like they are flying by the seat of their pants.

    12. David Dalati: good with sports center updates and special reports bad when filling in for a full show; too dry for my taste

    13. Laura Reynolds: adds some spice to the show; kinda mean spirited: anyone know what she looks like??; I prefer Susie Loutz sp?

    14. The fishing dude: that show is good for a chuckle just because it is so bad; the callers that call in make the show: giving their scoops on a certain lake or whatnot, also the little kid that seems to call in every week for his fishing tourny stories.

    99. Tom Tyman sp?: I can't stand this show! Home improvement? come on now! aren't there other radio stations for that crap.

others: I love it on the weekends when they have NBA Radio. That is probably my favorite radio show of all. The other national weekend broadcast do a decent job. I MUCH preefered that show by ESPN's Max Kellerman and that guy from Chicago newspaper(the name escapes me at the moment) to the dang home improvement hotline.

    * all the above is my opinion and I'm sure any of the guys listed would do a 100% better job than I would ;)

    How about:

11 pm - 6 am - The Laura Reynolds good vibrations late night show. Laura Reynolds discusses the latest in female sex toys and offers demonstrations and product reviews with a live webcam feed

I would pay for a streaming broadcast also. I am in Indy right now and moving to Charlotte this weekend. I miss 610 bad since I get absolutely no Houston sports at all.

Please please please get rid of the hunting and fishing crap on early thurs. and fri. morning. Why punish those of us who choose to wake up early and need our fix of sports?

Get rid of Tom Tyman (sp?) on Sat. and Sun. mornings (8am-11am). This is a sports station, if I want home improvement, I'll flip over to 950 or 700.

Get rid of the golf hour with Ed Fowler. I love the dude as a writer, but again, you're punishing those of us waking up early on Saturday.

I would give my left testicle to not hear Rome anymore, but I realize there are a lot of silly clones in this town... ugh.

I also would like to get rid of Marc V. Too dull for my taste. Maybe if he was partnered up, it would be better. It's too tough to do a one-man radio show, and Marc is the epitome of all that is wrong with the concept (uses silly sounds, etc.)

John & Lance and Rich & Charlie are just fine. Leave them as is. Jackson in the evening? Never listen to him.

    Finally....someone thinking outside the box!!!

Is it me or does is sound like Laura Reynolds cannot stand David Dalati? She always seems to have a short hard-edged statement for him in the afternoons.

Whatever happens, they need to get ESPN to get Sir Charles to do an hour of NBA Smack Talk. That guy is a neverending supply of trashtalking. Pure comedy....pure entertainment.

    6-11 John and Lance

    11-2 Rome

    2-4 Vandy

    4-8 Rich and Charlie

8-11 Phil Hendrie!!!! Come on, Chance. This show seems right up your alley.

Those fishing guys are great for a laugh if for some reason you have to be up that time of morning.

I was dissappointed in that they added the home improvement show, but its great for their rating. Incidently, there are like 3 or 4 of those shows on at the same time which makes it even worse.

I really like Mel Kiper and Andy Polin's show on ESPN. Those are my favorite ESPN broadcasters, I like the NBA Show also.

Max Kellerman left ESPN, I don't know if you knew that.

Agreed. Kiper and Polin are dynamite on the weekends, especially at this time of the year (leading up to the NFL Draft).

I miss Max and Mariotti (as the other person referenced) with Max Kellerman and Jay Mariotti... They had great chemistry. For a while, they replaced Kellerman with another dude, but it just didn't work.

More Matt Bullard would be great! I'd like to hear him sometime in the 4-6 time slot.

Tom Tynan has a cult like following.

I would bet that his show is big business for 610.

BTW, my guess on the changes is that they are going to switch up the personality pairings (i.e. put Rich with John Granato and Lance with Charlie or something like that).

Maybe that is why Rich was upset. I wouldn't want to be paired with Granato either. ;)

Maybe I'm the only one that got this...or maybe I'm completely off.

When they first starting announcing the "cha-ching"ges...they kept doing just that....saying "cha-ching"ges.

    I $mell $omething brewing...do I get a prize if I win? Do I get to see the change$ up close and personal?

Although, again, I could be wrong.

*I'm saying this because I'm under the impression that SR610 had a no-money giveaway policy. Which is why they had the commercial "WE GIVE AWAY LESS MONEY than any radio station. GUARANTEED". Yes? no? Whadayathink?

I think John Granato makes everyone better, he and Mark are my favorites.

BTW Chance is smart, savvy and funny, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if...

AB, too bad you couldn't be Mark's co-host on a daily basis. I would listen to that show.

That would be nice, even though my agent would kill me. Thanks for the compliment.
