[Sports Radio 610] By mutal agreement, the Rockets are trying to trade Derek Anderson

Well the obvious reason is because this isn't the first time DA has decided he should be traded. It also isn't the second time, or the third. There is a whole lot of evidence pointing to him just being a "me first" kind of guy, and when a player as mediocre as Derek Anderson thinks the world owes him something, well that's just a tough pill for most fans to swallow.

Incidentally, T-Mac is a fantastic talent and I imagine if he asked to be traded you'd see a pretty similiar reaction for the same reason - he's done it before.

 

He's been gone for a few years...who decided to bring him to Houston anyway? That head should roll.

 

This is why I am asking all the questions above. The guy sprained his knee and they think he is going to come in and add to the chemistry right away.

I don't know about that. This year he seems to be proving what I think of most coaches...you look great when you have a team full of talent.

 

Granted, I have not bothered to read this whole thread. The first page of it completely bashes him. IMHO, if he's healthy and JVG is refusing to let him off the IR when he runs Bowen and Moochie out there day in and day out, DA might as well request a trade. He's better than others out there, if I were him I would ask to be traded.

 

A better question would be, if we are losing any shot at the playoffs, and he is indeed healthy, even if out of shape, why on earth isn't he being used?

 

Must be one of the following:

• He really is hurt
• Rybo is still somehow managing to blackmail JVG into playing time
• JVG is stupid
• JVG hates DA

Seriously, JVG wouldn't be publicly talking about trading the guy if he wasn't healthy, IMO. And if he is, he should have played during the Lakers game. (hell, some of the player s who played should have played!)

 

I think JVG is growing a bit.

He has realized that adding end of their career veterans is not as important as adding talented smart young guys.

Quite honestly, Anderson wasn't as consistent as I would have hoped when the season started. His shooting was pretty suspect. Granted, he could still score but the way our team is, we don't need another inconsistent and oft-injured player.

 

You people on here are so hypocritical. The first ones all on DA's nut stash are now saying he's trash. If you want a trashy player check out Rafer. What a joke!
