It doesn't matter as long as TMac and Yao don't want out.

    LMAO! :D

Seriously though, an off-season that already didn't look favorable to us now looks even worse. :(

It's sad that we used our exceptions on non-impact players and now we're right back were we started: we still need a starting-caliber PF and a starting-caliber SG.

Boy, we've wasted an entire offseason and didn't improve, now we have to rebuild again next season and the rest of this one.

BTW, although I try to defend JVG and be fair to him when people pile on him unnecessarily, I have to say that DA asking for a trade is solely on JVG's shoulder, because he had zero rational behind keeping him out even when he's healthy...I am not with JVG on this one, he needs to loosen up a bit.

True, but that would probably mean us picking up a good player with a bad contract.

I'm really surprised DA's getting so smeared here. He started off the season horribly (like our entire backcourt with the exception of Barry's opener) and then started playing well before he got injured. Yes, I know he's always injured, but he's a scrub for what we're paying him anyway so, to me this reeks of a mutual hissy fit between he and JVG.

If any good comes out of this, well great, but I don't see it happening.

Why is everyone hating on DA when no one knows what happened. I bleed Rockets red but to call someone names and dump all over him when you know nothing about the situation is immature. At least with Mo T we knew he was a loser who said he wouldn't mind being on the injured list so long as he got paid, but publicly (so far as we know) DA has only wanted to be activated to play. Get off his back. I didn't expect much from him before the season and I don't think anyone else did either but to slam the dude for no reason is weak.

Isn't JVG's tendency of not wanting to play someone who he wants to be traded any more obvious? At this rate, I won't be surprised if they trade Barry away also.

Oh, and this is what you got by going to the cheap route in the off season.

I wouldn't clear DA in all this before you know for sure what went on. There were times CD talked about his injury and I thought he was particularly frustrated when talking about DA and his situation and how it was taking him an unusual amount of time to heal and lets also not forget the day that DA was originally going to be brought back according to the chronicle, on that day, DA flew to Kentucky to confer with his own doctor. That is a bit disrespectful to the Rockets trainers and doctors who are considered the best in the business. So that I think that had something to do with creating a small disagreement with the Rockets and the fact that he took an unecessary amount of time to heal on his own terms which is the exact same thing that he was ridiculed for doing by the portland organization.

Phil Jackson is a great coach, you don't have to be a Lakers' fan to figure out he is a better coach than JVG will ever be.

He is the guy who should be coaching the Rox right now; instead, we are forced to watch the current slow, ugly, low score, and losing JVG basketball. I am so sick of the cold reality and your blind love towards him.

This team and this season is falling apart...maybe even Tmac's body...

This sucks. I have been defending DA in other threads. I don't know what happened. I still remember Yao, Tmac and DA in the pre-season Rockets lift-off ad. Oh well... :(

TS, I'm not completely saying DA is innocent in all of this but DA's injury wasnt the only one that took forever to heal...how about Barry's calf strain? He's played, what, 2 games in the last 3 months?...and not extensive minutes either...I'm just saying I feel that JVG doesnt know what he wants at this point and he's trying to place the blame on others, and it's easier to blame a player that fans have not yet been thoroughly acquainted with...

I am not completely clearing DA but all these posts bashing the guy are kind of unfair as we know nothing about what goes on behind the scenes. I am not saying that DA is not at fault and I am not saying that the Organization and JVG are not fault. I don't know who is but all the reckless bashing of DA is un-necessary.

There's a clause in his contract, he's untradeable.

I'm not saying it's from the locker room, I'm saying its obvious...what does JVG preach day in and day out? Effort, effort, effort..what is this team's biggest achilles heel right now, besides injury? EFFORT...
