    You only looked at payroll, and the debt service for renovation.

    Your calculations only work, if you they are paying nothing for county taxes, state taxes, federal taxes, lease payments(Lease payments goes to the landlord and not to maintanance and renovation.), insurance, utilities, tons of business costs, hotel stays, airfare, marketing.

    Marketing alone could cost $10 mil.

    In my opinion, the owners revenue problems in small markets is due to ****ty revenue sharing. When the Lakers TV contract is worth $3 billion and the Kings is worth $100 million, then Kings are pretty well screwed unless they're good.

    They need to take a page out of the NFL playbook and balance revenues between the rich (NYC/LA) and the poor (SAC/MIL).
