When one can score the ball they cease being a ball stopper and make the leap to "FINISHER" all those guys are finishers.

Ball stoppers are Iverson like in that they shoot a TON of shots to get their points but shoot a pedestrian percentage....

McGrady is a ball stopper he is not effecient enough to be a finisher....45% or higher......would be nice...Tmac has been around 42%...and last year below 40%.

He can, but he has been inefficient in doing so for quite a while. To be fair,at one time,it was only up to him and Yao to do the scoring. Things started improving after the addition of Scola and Landry.Last year we got to see what Brooks can do as well. Unfortunately,Yao is out again, which will require Tracy to become the primary scorer again.

He has to balance that with his passing. I do not think of him as a reluctant passer, however I do feel that he takes poor percentage shots, hitting only 30 + from 3 point land, which is compounded by his reluctance to try and get to the line and finish around the basket.

yes okay no problem with that, he can still take over games. what you think the 42% is from him finishing from around the basket? I think people over blow this whole thing about t-mac not being effecient. The last two years mabye not, but he has had the nagging injuries during those two years that has affected his game. When healthy he is as effecient as the best of them. i do not count last year AT ALL, if a guy is hobbling on the court with a bum knee, y are they letting him play?

he may take poor percentage shots, but for a guy who shoots around mid to low 40% he isnt really a bad shooter. mabye he wouldnt have to take such tough shots if we had others that had playmaker abilities. And nobody, i repeat NOBODY on this roster is gonna make as many of those tough shots as mcgrady does. i am sure if t-mac had the same wide open shots, he gets his teamates, that his shooting percentage would be way better.

The baseline sees all, but the refs do not.
