well, he could still have a career with the astros as a backstop. besides the hot dogs on the back of his neck make the back of his head look alot like a catcher's chest protector. "give him the heater, andy."
Funny that Vin Baker got cut by the Celtics and he is on our team lol...finally get rid of the contract part they had to continue paying for.
ROFL!!! Seriously though, Spoon had some good games. He would grab rebounds when nobody else would, and I remember clinching my teeth when he shot the ball................... and MONEY!!!
Which differs how? OK, ok, of all the retiring contracts, save DW, he was the one closest to being a member of the team.
Dallas needs a backup center. We need a shooting guard. These teams could have worked out a Finley for Spoon trade.
With the NHL back in action, maybe FatSpoon could sign as a goalie and just lay in front of the net all game long... On a side note, I've always wondered why some NHL team doesn't sign the fattest man in the world and plop him in front of the goal. Is there a rule against that?
It's funny that Allan Houston didn't get cut, since this thing was actually ncknames the Allan Houston rule. I guess they would rather he gimp around for $68 million than sit at home/play for someone else for $34 million.
What happens when the goalie gets knocked outside of the goal? This isn't soccer where goalies can't be touched, goalies get knocked quite a bit, ice make it easier for them to side, so all the opposing team has to do is send one guy to nudge him, and another to shoot it. OK I don't really watch hockey, but I think that'd be leagl no?
So can we really call this the Allan Houston rule, when he wasn't even waived? Maybe should be the Finley Rule or the Brian Grant Clause (or the "We Only Ended up with Odom and Kwame Brown for Shaq" Rule)
