Honestly them changing up Dany's story may not be too bad. I hated her chapters in Dance with Dragons until the end with the bad assery with Drogon. It was like reading a teenage girl's diary

There's a lot of story left.

Arya's an assassin-in-training; Bran's getting some three-eyed-crow action; and no way Jon Snow's out of the action.

The Starks will get theirs. Winterfell will rise again.

There must always be a Stark in Winterfell.

That isn't just a line, it's a rule that Martin has laid out. When rules are broken there are consequences.

A Stark will stand watch in Winterfell again.

If GOT came out on netflix I would watch every episode back to back with no intermission in between.

I feel like we are in a new golden age of great content for the television. And we can pick and choose how and when to access it too!

it was never satisfying that joffrey died from someone other than a stark's hand, surprising to see how many in the non spoiler thread point to little finger,

the scene with ramsey and reek was pretty good stuff, the conversation between tywin, cersei and the red viper was also really good,

it looks like next week is going to be action packed, battle in mereen, battle at the wall

I love reading (not posting in) the non spoiler thread, just to see what everybody is thinking.

I have t say that when I read the books this death was the one (of the 3 big deaths so far in the series) I really didn't see coming.
Neds death was expected, the father/older teachter always dies in the fantasy books were the children become important.

Robb wasn't a big POV in the books, so he was expendable.

But Joffrey, he was supposed to be the big bad guy, but then he died:eek:, ofcourse now others appear to be the bad guys, but at the time it was just so unexpected. I really had to read the page a couple of times to make sure i read it correctly.

I thought Ned's death was pretty shocking. Even though I liked Game of Thrones I didn't have a strong desire to keep reading the rest of the novels for a couple of years and I think him being killed was part of the reason.

I agree about Robb though, in the books it didn't seem like a huge deal to me. I think they did a much better job with the Red Wedding on the series.

Yep, it was obvious as long as you knew what to look for. It even shows Sansa right after with the jewel missing.

If they are gonna keep with the book, the rest of this season should be very Jon Snow/wall heavy. They still have to go over the Wildling assaults and Stannis Baratheons arrival.

With the purple wedding over, all that's really left in King's Landing is Tyrion's trial, which they will have to drag out over the next 8 episodes, I'd imagine he kills Tywin and splits in the finale. I'm sure hoping the Mountain/Red Viper fight lives up to the hype.

Sansa Stark/ Littlefinger should also be getting a fair bit of screen time as well.

So, I'm also curious as to what they will do the rest of the season. It's Shae really gone? I haven't seen anybody point that out. Remember in the books Tyrion kills her.
So big scenes left.. Red viper vs mountain, daenerys conquering more cities, arya going of to train as assassin, fight at the wall, Tyrion killing off tywin.

Was reading that episode 10 should be a true finale unlike previous seasons were episode 9 was the finale and episode 10 was trying to make people feel better. Im expecting lots of cliffhanger on the finale. Perhaps the fight at the wall?

I think they will have Shae show up as a witness against Tyrion still. I hate how they're trying to paint her as a sympathetic character on the show as a scorned woman becuz Tyrion sends her away. Can't wait for her to die

I think the fight on the wall will be episode 8 or 9 and then episode 10 will be where they vote Jon as new Lord Commander. And also Tywin should die in episode 10 during Tyrion's escape

Also they said we should spect some material from books 4 and 5 to be used in this season. Only thing I can figure they would use is the Brienne chapters but we shall see

Great now Oberyn will die too. I hate how GURM kills his charactors. Then we have to follow Bran to nowhere and read about how Cercei had burnt toast for breakfast.
