Either do I. As of the latest book, she didn't have a huge role. Keep in mind that Brianne ended up in LSH hands. I wonder how the show will account for this in seasons to come. Right now Brianne is a wandering character who has left her path in the books. They will need to keep her in future episodes so the viewers dont forget who she is. This means newly created story lines that could create plot holes ... or they may start into portions of WoW.

There is a small chance that Michelle Fairley and the producers are engaged in a bit of misdirection, although it doesn't feel like it.

It's not only Brienne and how her plot coincides with LSH. It could also involve Jaime.

But so far in Books 3, 4 and 5 there are only three-ish chapters that involve LSH. Either they've delayed it and are BS-ing us or Martin has told the producers that you really don't have to stick with it, I was kinda jerking off.

We have no idea how Jamie will play out. He has become one of the good guys. But I would appreciate if Martin did use LSH to kill Jamie. Its his style.

LSH could very well show up in season 6. There was no definitive answer that she would not show up at all. If LSH does play a bigger role, it will be in WoW and they may delay that story arc until the book is released.

From what I remember , the BWB captures Jaime and means to put him to death. From what we've seen, if the person is innocent the red god proves it by letting them live (the hound captured but being freed after he wins..). Jaime is innocent and sent Brienne to look for Lady Stark's daughters as he promised. He also hasn't taken up arms against the Starks or Tullys. To kill him there would be horrifically inconsistent.

At this point . . . . I am wondering is Brianne is important at all.
    Just a bunch of filler

I'm guessing Brienne does indeed meet up with Sansa eventually, and Sansa will play a part in the overall story. GRRM gave them the go ahead to make the character a focus of the show, I'm pretty sure there was a reason for that. I don't she will be pivotal though.

I think most of the Greyjoy arc is gonna be skipped over. It wouldn't bother me because I can't stand them, but I'm sure a lot of book readers are gonna cry endlessly. The only reason the show has included the Boltons is because they are tied up with the North/Starks.

I've been wondering the same thing. She may not even be important to the story line anymore as it pertains to the series. No LSH then probably no new quest for Brianne. There will likely never be a scene with the Grave Digger now as well. I'm assuming she will have some role going forward since it would just seem awkward to just ignore her going forward.

I saw this on Youtube. By the way, I loved how they spliced in the old guy from Merlin to do this.

I actually enjoyed the Greyjoys a lot more than I though I would when they started giving Asha POV chapters.

As far as the book goes I am interested to see more of the DampHair
    and Asha as awell

The GreyJoys could be as interesting as the Lannisters and Starks
but . . . .they are late to the party and maybe too much to add to the overall story

Well Michelle Fairley says Catelyn, the character, is dead... which isn't incorrect.

Does this mean it's now OK to troll the non-book readers in the other thread about LSH?

If they did this to throw off book readers, they probably inadvertently spoiled it for a ton of non book readers.

    rereading affc

how did i forget about the kettleblacks? tyrion was suppsoed to tell jaime cersei had been ****ing them when jaime told tyrion the truth about tysha

then cersei is supposed to try and use one of the kettleblacks to spy on margery and that leads to the high septon imprisoning cersei

this then sets in motion the militarization of the religious faction (the sparrows) in kings landing and pulls at the power struggle between the crown and the high septon, also we get kevan lannister as the regent because of this

    damn there's a lot

Wondering if ASOIAF is worth re-reading? Or would my time be better spent in a different book or series that is similar to this one? I'm not a huge reader or fan of fantasy but loved these books, but its been a while since I read them and am a bit shaky on some of the material.

I would expect them to include some elements of the Iron Born, like the attack in the south and the contingent sailing east, but skip all the stuff about the King's Moot and Damphair.

it is if you're caught up with the show and would like to continue. So right now that would mean reading Feast, which I did a couple of weeks ago.
