Yes you're right with the many layers of the vote it would be best if it had an episode to itself. Maybe the first or second episode of next season. Can go through the whole thing of Stannis wanting to legitimize him, Sam trying to curry favor for Jon, Jon agonizing over the decision to become a true Stark or stay in the brotherhood, and finally him being voted as Lord Commander. It would be legit.
Yeah if it's gonna be seven seasons he would need to get stabbed next season. WoW would get a season to itself and Dream of Spring once finished would get the last season
I think he's finally awakened to the fact, If I'm gonna have two gigantic novels, why not split them into three? I'll get the next book out quicker and make beaucoup money, too.
I thought they handled Ygritte's death better then the book. Thought Stannis would show up this ep tho.and guess they def won't have the vote for Lord Commander until next season. They have a lot of stuff to cover in the next episode if they do everything I expect
With everything that still needs to be resolved, I doubt Lady Stoneheart makes an appearance. Still trying to think what the last scene of the season will be... ideas?
But it's not that simple. Feast For Crows and Dance With Dragons were originally supposed to be one book and then when it got too big, he struggled on how split them. And then when he split them, he struggled to make each a complete novel without leaving certain characters and storylines ending abruptly and in an unsatisfying manner.
Lena Headey did put up that instagram photo of a stone heart. If it's not Lady Stoneheart then it almost has to be Tyrion killing Tywin and Shae and then escaping on the boat.
Im thinking Arya going to bravos will happen.. Tyrion will definitely kill Tywin. On the previews, for a split second you see someone in the dark walking with a bow. Should be awesome.
Man, my memory must be lacking. I don't remember Jon Snow heading out north of the wall by himself to find Mance Rayder.... Lots left to get in next week eh? At least if they are trying to finish Storm of Swords with this season.
In the books, Sir Alison Thorne and slynt had imprisoned Jon after the first attack. They then send Jon to go treat with Mance, they actually wanted Jon to kill Mance. Then Stannis arrives
Actually, Slynt wanted to hang Jon but Maester Aemon wouldn't let him. They send Jon to assassinate Mance, but hope that it's Jon who dies. Anyway, on the show they've made it REALLY easy for Jon to be elected the next Lord Commander with Thorne dead (right?) and Slynt being a total ****ing p***y.
Pretty sure Thorne is still alive. Slynt to will back Thorne no doubt, but I think Jon being elected won't be as complicated as it was in the book. I think Tyrion's scene should be the last one. No other scene is as epic or shocking as him killing Tywin and escaping. Maybe Stannis coming to save the Watch could be, but def not Dany locking up the dragons or Arya beginning her journey to Braavos. Actually I'll go with Stannis saving the watch being the last scene
That's what I'm thinking, it will be a quick 2-3 minute segment like the White Walker scene to end season 2.
I don't know. It doesn't feel like they're gonna introduce Lady Stoneheart. At least not this season.
Yes! I forgot about Bran's story since we haven't seen him in like 4 or 5 episodes it feels like, haha. That would be a good ending for the finale as well
I agree, with all there is left to cover I'm guessing some things will be left to the beginning of next season.
