Yes, Joffrey ordered it in the show, Cersei ordered the bastards killed in the book.

Just finished Storm of Swords in a little under a week or so... WOW. That Epilogue was something else! Is anyone else here extremely pissed off about how badly they've butchered Danny's character in the show, especially that Jorah scene, she contemplates having him back so hard in the books, yet in the TV show you see no reasoning whatsoever. (And I'm a little pissed for no Strong Belwas) I guess the main difference is the little monologues you hear inside their heads, especially Tyrion. My question, do you guys think Lady Stoneheart will be at the end of this season? Or will they make it the next seasons opener, kind of like how they made book 3's prologue to be the end of season 2.

Yeah that scene really bothered me too. Emilia Clarke did a great job IMO in the first 3 seasons, but she does that 1000 yard stare in every scene now. I get that they want to portray her as trying to come across as superior, but it just comes across as bad acting. That brief scene with Missendei is the only time in like 5 or 6 episodes where she showed any personality whatsoever.

Her story really bogs down at this point in the books, so they are gonna have to let her demonstrate some of that charisma she showed in seasons 2 and 3 or its gonna be tough to watch. I already see a lot of hate for her this season, and I don't think it's the actresses fault, she being told to act like she's dead inside. She's become very unlikeable.

Yes I think Lady Stonehaert will appear at the end of this season.

Clash of Kings & Storm of Swords might be the 2 best fantasy books I have ever read.

    About Jorah's leaving . .In the books. . .
    leaving is Jorah's decision right?
I thought she made him go through the sewage for her to win a city
then he helps her win but leaves to earn back her trust

Here is the summary of what happened with Jorah's exile in the books from the chapter summary from Tower of the Hand:

Dany is passing thru the freed slaves and the freedmen call out to her and come up to touch her stirrup or her leg. Suddenly, a man grabs her from behind, wrenches her to the ground and draws a sword. Daenerys realizes it is Mero as he prepares to kill her. Arstan challenges Mero and dispatches him easily with his staff. Upon returning to her tent, Daenerys summons Ser Jorah and asks why she was not informed Mero had escaped. He did not want to worry her. She orders Jorah to knight Arstan, but he refuses the honor, saying he is already a knight. Jorah recognizes him now, and says he is, in fact, Ser Barristan Selmy. Barristan says it is so and reveals that Jorah had been a spy for Varys. Daenerys is hurt and furious at both of them. She orders them both to leave, but has no idea where to send them. Then she has an idea.

Belwas brings Barristan and Jorah before Daenerys at her command. Barristan has shaved his beard and looks ten years younger. On the night Meereen fell, she sent two hundred men to burn the ships in the harbor as a diversion so that they and Belwas could lead twenty picked men through the sewers to release the fighting slaves and win the city. She asks Barristan why he served Robert, and he explains that he was pardoned and Viserys was too young to rule and already showing signs of madness. He tells Daenerys that Aerys was mad, something she always assumed was a lie spread by Robert. Barristan hid his identity from Daenerys so he could observe her and find if she were mad too. This offends Daenerys at first, but Barristan explains that madness has always been a problem for the Targaryen dynasty and recounts how King Jaehaerys II once told him that madness and greatness are two sides of the same coin and that every time a Targaryen is born, the gods toss a coin while the world holds its breath. When Daenerys realizes that Barristan knew her grandfather, she sees that he can tell her more of her family's history and identity than any other man close to her and accepts him into her service.

Daenerys turns her attention to Ser Jorah, who remains insolent and unapologetic for his actions. He swears he was always loyal and protected her, yet he sent his last report as late as Qarth. She is angry that he told Varys of her child. He counters that he saved her from the poisoner. Daenerys asks how he knew, and he explains that Varys sent a warning and said he only wanted her watched, not harmed. Jorah says he must be forgiven, but Daenerys says she cannot do so. Reluctantly, she banishes Jorah from the city and her side. Daario offers to kill him after he is dragged out by Belwas, but Daenerys says to let him be. Daenerys tries to read for awhile, but is too distracted by what she has just done. She goes out to the terrace, where Rhaegal and Drogon are resting. She spots Viserion in the distance, hunting. Her dragons are growing bolder every day. Ser Barristan approaches and wonders if she has questions for him. She asks if Aerys was truly mad, and Barristan replies that he was. He was generous and charming, which endeared many to him, but as his reign progressed, he lapsed into madness more and more. Daenerys does not want to hear more at the moment, and he leaves. That night, Daenerys has trouble sleeping as she thinks of those who betrayed her. The next morning, she announces to her captains that her dragons need time to grow and she needs to learn how to do more than conquer a city and move on, so she will stay in Meereen for a time and rule as queen.

in general, the best things about the story are all the surprises, it makes for a difficult conversation when you're scrolling through a lot of spoiler tags and then you have people spoilering themselves talking about people who shouldn't be clicking on the spoiler tags, and then you have people spoiling things with no spoiler tag

So, guys theories for the finale?

The title is called The Children. I'm thinking they have to touch upon most of the big story lines, Danny, Tyrion, The Wall, and Bran.

I'm thinking the battle at the wall is almost lost when Stannis arrives with his army. Danny probably starts seeing more problems with the Harpy. Bran meets the children of the forest. And lastly Tyrion kills off Tywin! That would be awesome.

Not sure if we will have enough time for Lady Stoneheart, Arya going to Bravos, or Jon becoming Lord Commander.

I can all but guarantee this season ends with Arya sailing for Bravos. I imagine she leaves the hound to die this week, and boards the ship next week. I expect her to be the most prominent non-wall character in these last 2 episodes. They've been stalling with her story all season just to make sure it's timed properly.

It'll be the opposite of the red wedding. My guess is they'll go for a bright ending on the wonder of new discovery like something out of close encounters of the 3rd kind, the abyss, or avatar.

I expect Bran will meet the Three Eyed Crow, perhaps a dragon will eat a child instead of a sheep for Dany, Tyrion kills off Tywin, Arya gets on the ship to Braavos.

I expect the battle for the wall to conclude next week, so aftermath the following week, though I'm not sure if they will get to the vote and election of Jon to lord commander. With the battle we should have plenty of Stannis, though Jon Snow doesn't have nearly the relationship he did in the books with any of the Wildlings outside of Ygritte, so having him go treat with Mance prior to the attack by Stannis might not work. I expect some Jon Snow/leadership of the watch/Stannis interactions.

I expect Lady Stoneheart to be the closing scene for the season, though whether it involves Brienne and completely skipping all of her Feast for Crows content (most of which won't work now since there is no Shagwell the fool, Rorge or Biter for her to fight), or just Lady Stoneheart hanging some Frey like in the storm of Swords epilogue I'm not sure.

I don't see any meaningful scenes left this season for the Boltons, Greyjoys, Martels, Tyrells, Littlefinger/Sansa. I'm sure there will be some more "original" scenes too like Messendei/Greyworm eunuch romance. Brienne should have at least one more scene, but at this point her story will be significantly different from the books no matter what.

I guess a lot of people put more significance to Lady Stoneheart than I do. There was the initial surprise in the book when she came back, but it was mild. And after that, I had little real interest in her. She didn't seem that important to me. Part of it could be that I never really was very interested in Catelyn either.
