I'm confused. You're just proving my point. You said the totem does not differentiate between reality and dream. I'm saying Cobb's ring DOES. Therefore the ring is not the totem.
*Slap head* Sorry, you're right. It's been a long night at work and I've been up since 5am yesterday.
should that explain why he told Ariadne what the totem(spin top) did?... if the spin top is his totem did anyone notice when he was in Mumbasa and splashed water in his face Cobb was about to spin the top but never got to bc Saito asked if he was ok
Prequel--How Cobb got into his limbo--Inception--in the first place. How him and his wife began their whole dreaming adventures.. The complications of 'the job' that dugg Cobb into his limbo... and at the end--the revelation that Ariadne is actually Cobb's daughter. Sequel--Wife, Ariadne build a team to retrieve Cobb from limbo.. plot twist--there are forces which do not want this to happen.. whether it be those who are afraid of Cobb's talents or what Cobb might do once he's back in reality.. That's my two cents.. get it done Nolan. Also, the above suggestions infer that the original Inception movie was all a dream/limbo of Cobb, and that the wife failed in her inception of Cobb's mind to get him out--thus he is still stuck in limbo at the end of the movie.

Nolan was an extractor for his own lucid dream known as Batman Begins when he created the set for the fortress and the background music for Inception (hence the title).
saw the movie last night. Thought that last scene was weak. I knew just by cliche the top would keep spinning. Great idea though and the last 45 minutes was a pure rush. Kinda like Dark Knight.
the more i think about it the more i feel the snow fortress scene was really a weak part of this movie...or should i say it was out of place. up until that point, it was a cerebral type of movie. you had to think to follow what was going on. then all of sudden, you're thrusted into a shootout where everyone is just trying to go from A to B and here is the straight line.
Btw, what would yall choose as a totem? Thinking for last 2 min, I would go with a money clip that always holds a specific amount of cash that only I know and never use.
just saw, brains scrambled... I refuse let myself believe that the entire movie was a dream. soooo.... Happy ending all around! I'm satisfied.
Finally saw the movie and I thought it was fantastic. Totally love the whole idea but the delivery was just a bit short on epic scale. My goodness. Nolan really need to look for someone to direct that camera action for him. All his movies the actions are pretty terrible. From what I heard he like to edit his own movie so that might be why the action editing in all his movies are pretty mediocre. I'm not surprise at the ending. Totally love the whole idea a dream within a dream and how deep you can go. So what's reality and what's not? But what I didn't understand was their rigging and technical process of dreaming and going into another person's dream. I thought it need to be cerebral and the connection needs to be connecting to your brain not through your veins.
They cut it off.. it couldve fell. They didn't tell us if it was really forreal or not, that's the whole point of the end.. to keep you guessing.
