A few little spinach leaves, I can't see that doing much. It seems like if you cook a whole bag of spinach, it ends up being like a small bowl's worth.
Thanks to this thread, I'm now craving a **** load of cooked spinach with garlic and a touch of olive oil.
You lost me at brussels sprouts, man. Yuck! Also way too much work involved to eat 10% of the "sprouts".
Marketers in the spinach industry way back when started the whole rumor that spinach had massive amounts of iron to boost sales -- as much as red meat. That started the whole Popeye spinach love affair.
