The Rockets are currently around $13M over the cap. So, if you free up $9M in cap space with your proposed deal, we're still $5M over the cap. So, how does this enable us to sign any free agents next year? We'd still be over the cap and have the same exact options that we have right now.

 

Believe me, if Tmac gets traded, you guys will not be happy with what we get in return. At best we'll be able to get a ray allen, richard jefferson level talent, in other words an overpaid, aging star/superstar. Macs value is nowhere near what many think it is on this forum.

 

It's not about being a better team or winning - for many here it's about finally making it Yao's team.

 

We can trade with the Knicks. We always get their washed up players and Has-Been coaches anyways.

what the OP's trade idea is basically saying is start over. cause none of those players he mentioned can help us get a ring. and a team with just Yao cannot really lead us to a champioship either.
