I'm getting a hint of "all black men look the same" racism.

Spike lee would probably talk about how lin's contract was way too much and how he'd be upset if knicks matched. lol

LOL, that video isn't actually Spike Lee. But this article does have real quotes from Spike Lee. Basically, Spike Lee is being neutral about it, and says to wait and see. Which is probably the most reasonable position to take.

    http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2012...hat-history-will-judge-jeremy-lin-and-knicks/

    "I never saw that coming."

Is Lin a great player? "He was great the 25 games he played."

Lee says that he remains a Knicks fan and that it will take time to see if the team made a mistake by letting Lin go. "Look, it’s one of those things," Lee says. "We’ll see. History will tell who made the wrong move."

“We’ll see. The only thing I’ll say about this is that—Houston, Texas or New York City—the Mecca, Madison Square Garden? I’ll leave it at that.”

    NYC arrogance at it's finest.

Its knick arrogance...not all nyc people feel this way. Knicks havent won in 40 years. Hard to be the mecca of anything with that kind of track record. The knicks are an attractive fa destination because of the city they play in. Its got nothing to do with the team or msg

Yes you are right it is Knick arrogance. This whole its the mecca business is played out. Fans always talking about NY endorsements even though the top athletes who get the most money off endorsements, none of them play for a NY team or live in NY. But still Knick fans talk about NY endorsements. I chuckle every time I hear that from Knick fans.
