Awesome. I agree w/ what most people said here on the models looking too off the mark, but it's freakin' Transformers. I still can't wait. If I had millions of dollars to throw away, I'd buy that Bumblebee model and put it in my front yard. For my Anime fans: Don't the models look like they were inspired by the Evangelion mecha? I think the overall thinness leads me to think that.
I'm sure the Strokes are glad that they're gonna be advertised throughout the biggest movie of the summer...
I couldn't get the full screen thing to play in Firefox or IE, so here's the link to the yahoo page where you can choose to watch a smaller flash version: http://uk.promotions.yahoo.com/transformers/
I EFFIN' LOVE THIS SH*ZN*T. I never knew all their names, but remember seeing the cartoons not knowing what they said (I only spoke SPANISH at the time), and am glad to see this on the big screen. It will break records. Thanks for posting this, BY .
I'm still a little bit skeptical...that trailer looks good but still no real clear, full shots of the the transformers, just bits and pieces. And from those pieces it just looks a little too alien/insect for my tastes. We'll see.
only crappy thing about the trailer...looks like Bay is gonna gay it up with some ridiculous love story.
Have we not learned enough about Michael Bay yet? His Trailers always look awesome, and his movies always suck. This will be no exception, unfortunately.
I agree that Bay sucks but Spielberg usually doesn't. I'm hoping that he has enough influence to make this a decent movie.
To be fair though, this is right up Bays alley, lot of action and things getting blowed up and torn apart I'm encouraged by what I saw
The fact that they got the original voice of Optimus Prime makes me hopeful. At least that got that much right.
In this instance, keeping to the artistic vision of the transformers as penned by Hasbro, Inc to sell toys doesn't seem to be a big deal to me.
Regardless of what the show's purpose was, Optimus Prime is an iconic hero and that voice has a lot to do with it. Whatever the motivations in all of this, I'll at least be happy to hear that voice back in action.
wow as a kid who grew up on gen 1-2-3 transformers, from the looks of it they're messing this thing up. Dont' know the storyline, but looking at the actual robots/figures...they look too robotech, ect... i wish they could have kept it a bit more simple
There is just something funny to me about this statement considering its a movie about robots... I grew up on transformers too and while I love the old cartoon I think making the live action movie verisons replicas of the cartoon would look a little silly, kind of like wolverine running around in bright yellow and blue tights in a live action flick
good post. this trailer is absolutely perfect. wolverine actually made a joke about the spandex in x one or two... i forget. the more i think of it, megatron as a big arse gun and soundwave as a tape player in this day and age... ummmm...no. wouldn't work. would be cool if soundwave turned into an ipod though. well... not really. were would laserbeak be? edit: note to self... go to hobby lobby and buy materials for a soundwave costume on opening day.
