Well just read through the Wiki listing on the comics and it gave a decent run down. The only thing I was really curious about was the Allspark, was that from the comics? I had never heard of it from the cartoon
no it wasnt in the comics, there was something similar in the comics called the "Creation Matrix" it was a program that was handed down from one legendary autobot leader to another. It was that which gave life to new transformers. Optimus Prime carried the program and used it to create new autobots (aerial bots, omega supreme etc) but early in the comics prime was captured and shockwave used prime to breathe life into the constructions and Megatron "stole" the program via a mental link with prime to help create the stunticons and another new decepticons. I believe in the cartoons there wasnt anything like that, just a God like transformer called Vector Sigma which created everything
Ah, I gotcha, i think they probably borrowed on the Creation Matrix idea for the Allspark cube in the movie. Cool deal man, thanks for the info.
Haven't seen it.. so I wanted to know.. Are the following bots in it: Hot Rod - Autobot Perceptor - Autobot Shockwave - Decepticon Blitzwing - Decepticon Jetfire - Autobot Ultra Magnus - Autobot Constructicons - Decepticon subgroup
this is my first time posting in this t hread. i didnt read all 19 other pages. i might be going to see it tommorow.
Technically there was a Constructicon in the movie Autobots: Optimus Prime Jazz Bumblebee Ratchet Ironhide Decepticons: Megatron Frenzy Devastator Starscream Scorponok Barricade Bonecrusher Blackout
Devastator? How do you.. or rather they.. get Devastator without all the Constructicons? I spot another one in there if I'm not mistaken.. Bonecrusher?
For some reason they named the tank Devastator instead of Brawl. Bonecrusher was a Buffalo in the movie
Though I do think there was a mention of the "spark" instead of "all spark" in the comics. The spark was the life of an individual transformer if I remember correctly. Yup...here it is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spark_(Transformers) I guess it was mentioned in Beast Wars also.
What's strange was before the movie came out he was known as Brawl. Even the official toy is named Brawl.
the spark was considered their soul/essence but it wasnt anything that could give a lifeless machine life, like the allspark does in the movie. closest thing to the allspark is prime's creation matrix in the comics and vector sigma in the series. i wonder if this movie will be crossing the 175 mill mark before harry potter get released next week. its already broken a few records and its now its first weekend. its was at ~85 million after thursday's total and according to web reports a lot of word of mouth buzz has been very positive.
Did anyone notice that during one of the scenes in the movie they had a picture of a "gremlin" on a truck?
Would anyone happen to know how much GMC paid to be in the movie? I enjoyed the movie, but I was just curious. I would expect for it to be a lot of money they paid.
Perceptor... one of only two homosexual transformers ever created. Can you guess the other? ...Wheelie.
perceptor never wanted to fight and just wanted to be a man of science at least in cartoons which is a bit ironic since he was the autobots' commander on cyberton once optimus and co left on the ark. the only thing that always puzzled me was how arcee was the only "female" transformer
Wasn't there an episode of the cartoon that was all about a group of female robots back on Cybertron?
