I think you have to get the new version. Last Quicktime trailer I watched that's what I ended up having to do.
wow...that would be tough to do, in my opinion. i'm somewhat fearful the whole symbiote thing could have them jump the shark on the whole concept of the character...but i'm hopeful that raimi won't let that happen.

There are TONS of potential spoilers here. So I'm just posting the link. It's still rumor stuff, but fun anyway. http://www.nozomionline.com/entertainment/spiderman3.html
AGBee, for those who never read the comics and don't know any better, can you please put a *spoiler* disclaimer at the top of your post? You didn't ruin it for me, but there are people out there who don't know the significance of that scene, and you're going to spoil it for them.
Spiderman with the black suit Sandman Spiderman falling Gwen Stacy and Peter Parker(edited) Hobgoblin/Green Goblin II?(edited)
I don't think that's "Hobgoblin". I think it's Harry as the Green Goblin II. The Hobgoblin is actually an entirely different character from the Green Goblins. Does anyone else think that the Spiderman series is the best comic-to-movie series?
i do, but i'm pretty biased. the batman begins series could be great, as well. certainly has promise. for the same reason that spiderman has done so well...attention to the development of the character, first and foremost.
I had a hard time with the first two, but then again part of my problem may be that I can't stand Tobey Maguire or Kirsten Dunst.
Well, let's see how #3 turns out before handing it the title. But if #3 is no worse than either of the first two films, that means the series is batting 3-for-3. That's unprecedented for a superhero franchise. X-Men 3 wasn't terrible IMO, but it was at best slightly above mediocre. Superman III was slightly below mediocre. Batman Forever I actually still like to this day, but none of the Burton/Schumacher flicks were good. It wasn't til Batman Begins that fans finally got the great Batflick they'd been waiting for. Ninja Turtles III was bad, but then again, so was the 2nd one, so it's irrevelant to this discussion. So yeah, Spider-Man has a good shot at becoming the gold standard of superhero series. One big reason is the talent in front of and behind the camera has remained consistent throughout the first 3 films. X-Men got screwed because Fox let Bryan Singer walk(and replaced him with Ratface and a hackjob of a script to work with). And the Salkinds did Superman in by kicking Richard Donner to the curb and giving Richard Lester free reign over the 3rd film.
I like the way the franchise is going, except for the Green Goblin bit. I wish they would just let the Goblin stuff die...even though I know he is a big part of the comics. But Willem Dafoe was just so god awful as that villain (WAY too cartoonish with the voice...costume didn't help either). I suppose if James Franco doesn't try to do the voice crap, it might not be too bad...but I mean, Venom and Sandman are MORE than enough villainous element to fill one movie.
If that spoilers article is true, Bruce Campbell may have a larger role in future Spiderman movies! Or, it could just be a cameo appearance for a Spiderman universe "name", like Dr. Connors has been so far. Anyway, that trailer looks awesome. May 2007 can't come soon enough.
