Interestingly enough, in the movies, Connors claims to be a physicist and not a biologist. Probably just a throwaway line, but still... I'd be very surprised if him still having a fragment of the symbiote makes it into the next film. Remember MJ leaving Jonah's son at the altar? You'd think that would have been a major plot point in part three or at least give Jonah a reason not to like Peter, but it's not mentioned at all. I'd like to see Professor Miles Warren on the big screen. They could make him really creepy by giving him that crush he had on Gwen in the comics and could maybe even have him be the catalyst behind Connors turning into the Lizard. Not sure how a Jackal/clones storyline would play out though... Scorpion is a great choice because Jameson funded him. Anything that gets Jameson more screentime is great.
I was actually hoping that John Jameson would bring the symbiote back from space(he is an astronaut after all) and unleash it on Peter as revenge for him stealing MJ away. While a little cheesy, that's a helluva lot better than some random meteorite crashing right next to Peter's moped.
Me too. I was constantly speculating on which origin they would use for the symbiote. The secret wars one was a bit far fetched so I figured they would have used John Jameson but no they opted for the coincidental meteorite from space.
That's what they did in the cartoon and it worked well. I really thought that was what the main point in introducing Jameson's son was going to be.
I liked it. It wasn't close to the first two by any means, but I still liked it overall. Spoiler All the villains were awesome, even if it felt like some were crammed in there. The lack of Venom vs. Spiderman was definitely disappointing though, especially when the alternative's to watch Sandman. Emo Peter of course has been beaten to death as well, however, the emo Peter was still absolutely unbearable to watch. Of course, the cheesy dancing in the Jazz club and the timely jump over the American flag was slightly lame as well. All that being said though, I still liked the movie and would still recommend anyone seeing it, just not at $13 on the IMAX. Save your money and get the student discount
This movie was INCREDIBLY TACKY. like there were scenes where i was like- wth? did he really say that? the scriptwriting was shoddy, and the guy responsibly should get fired. the scene where hes dancing down the street- it would have been a nice humorous like 10 second thing, but they made it into a whole scene! also- the whole jazz scene is another example of the tacky-ness. I can see why Tobey isnt immediately jumping on board with SP4. as for the plot- it goes waay off of the spiderman comics (teaming up? BS). they never go into depth about where the venom came from, just kinda falls into the scene. also- they didnt give venom time at all- completely ludicrous. and sandman, one of the potentially coolest villans ever, barely does anything. Spiderman 1 and 2 intergrate the computer with the real fighting scenes beautifully. Spiderman 3 fails at this miserably.
