Now tell me why you won't like catch the third one in theatre? Because you didn't like the second one and you love the first one? I'[m just telling you how stupid you make yourself sound.
So did you take your son to see it? If so how old is he? My son is 4 and I am debating on whether he can handle it or not. He was ok for Harry Potter 3 but the dementors did freak him out a bit.
3 years!! Man! Any word on the villian for the next? Will it be the final in the series? (I want more!!! ) Just saw SM2, it was freakin' great, loved the way it ended as well as the ****SPOILER!?!?!!?***** look that MJ had at the end from the window? Why the long face after giving the enthusiastic "Go get 'em, Tiger!" Was she worried about Parker getting hurt? About the relationship not working? About herself getting hurt? But yeah I was sooo glad she got to find out in this one, you just want to scream the truth to her through the whole movie! I was starting to get afraid that they'd hold that off till the third film.
SPOILER!!!! Yeah, in my own opinion they shouldnt have review the whole secret identity too early. That's the only obvious miskake that I think Sam Raimi made. I always love Spider-Man comics and especially Peter Parker living single and as a bachelor. I pretty much stop collecting it when he got married to MJ. But I'm looking forward to the third one. Should be Lizard next and maybe Venom? Venom will no doubt be an Ultimate villian for Spidey. I wouldn't mind Sandman. The CGI should be cool!
you should play final fantasy. for $50 you get over 50 hours of incredible story. definitely more bang for your buck than the $7 you get out of a 2 hour movie. and that's only one example.
So I've got the video game and it is great. The graphics aren't too groundbreaking, but it's kind of like a Grand Theft Auto thing where you can forgive that because you get to go wherever you want in the city. I like how they have made webslinging much more realistic too. In the previous game, you just held the web swing button and he'd shoot weblines off screen, to the point you knew they were just going out into mid air. Also, you could only stay on the rooftops. NYC is completely digitized, but of course they don't have the rights to accurately reproduce advertising land marks. So Times Square is just a bunch of big neon signs. Anways, the gameplay involves you stopping day to day crime to earn points to buy swing, combo, and other move upgrades. Every chapter has objectives for you, like buying the next upgrade, earning a certain ammount of points, and going to the next destination to advance the story. You even get to go into the Daily Bugle and get yelled at by JJ.
MadMax, please tell me you didn't take Jonathan to an 11:40 showing and explained to him every little thing that was going on without even the courtesy of a whisper. I hate parents who do that, especially when they sit right behind me. I liked the movie more than the first one. I never understood the whole "Can't love MJ because I'll always have enemies" thing, though. Um, you're Peter Parker. Everyone knows that if you want to get to Spiderman you go through Peter Parker. Wouldn't take long to figure out that Peter Parker and MJ have some sort of relationship (Doc Ock figured it out), so she's in harm's way anyway. Might as well be getting some! My favorite part was their first rumble when they were tumbling from the building and their was no music in the background. That part rocked.
Freaking loved this movie!!! So true to the character of Peter Parker, it was amazing. I don't know that I've ever seen a movie have more consistency and integrity from an already-told story than this one did. Yes...my son freaking loved it, too!!!
Saw it with my dad yesterday and I was disappointed. The CGI was overly cartoonish, the dialogue in the dramatic scenes was stilted (especially between MJ and PP) and the movie overall had a pasted together feel. It felt I have to give credit to Raimi for trying to give the movie more soul than your standard action film, but his execution was mediocre. Superman II did a better job presenting a conflicted hero, and it had a way less Harlequin romance ending. However, there were some nice details in the movie. Making Dr. Oc's tentacles seem like they were sentient was a great touch that made a somewhat lame villian much creepier. The scenes with Jonah Jameson were funny without being too distracting (and they included Ted Raimi, who should be the next Clint Howard). And Tobey Maguire really is perfect for the role of Peter Parker. 2 stars out of 4 overall.
My only deal was, Peter Parker needs to get his priorities straight. SPOILER ALERT Easy question, guys: Stick around and get some trim; or rush off after the cops to fight crime? Hey, he'd been swinging through buildings for two years now. But he'd presumably been a**-free, pining away for MJ. It's NYC!!! There's always gonna be sirens! Sheesh!
I loved it. My 7 year old loved it. My 4 year old loved it. My wife loved it. My mom loved it. It was a fantastic film.
The Doc Ock ER scene was extremely Evil Dead. The Tenticle's POV is definately Raimi's style and of course there had to be a chainsaw. Did anybody else notice this, or am i the only one who's seen
My review: Not as good as the original. But worth seeing. Peter Parker: I liked the first movie for this reason alone. It made the movie. As far as Spiderman II, I like the fact that they continued to develop his character. Toby Maguire did great again. He's terrific. But the attempt was marred by the continous failure to express one continuous thought. They took you on an emotional rollercoaster. The love story twists and turns a hundred times like a soap opera. No need to do that. Slow down. They shoved too much into one film. Ease on down the road like you did in the first movie. Give me a chance to feel something. Spiderman: Well done. Thought they did a great job with Spiderman this time. Good action. The Train was a little ridiculous. And I thought it unusual that spiderman took his mask off for so many people. While in the first movie, his identity was a complete secret. It seemed a bit much to me. If he had only taken it off for Goblin that would have been much more dramatic. But by that time., you were like whatever. Dr. Octopus: Well done as well. Excellent job on the tentacles and making them cool. Everything was wroking until the end. The last minute, now I'm a good guy, let us drown the inferno in the river thing. There was no good reason, in my opinion, fior him to do this. Nothing led me to that moment. Goblin: This story line was great as usual. They probably coul have had a better transition at the end than the kid going crazy, but well done. Aunt May: I didn't really like her being in the action scene, but could live with it. I focused here on the critical aspects of the movie, but overall, I did enjoy it. It moved. and as with the spiderman story, I agree, the fact that his every action seems to influence his life, makes for great drama. I just think the movie needs to deal with those elements at a slower pace. Kind of like Rocky I. I'd give it a B-.
Well in the train scene, didn't he take his mask off because like his eye peice thing just got smashed so he wasn't able to see with it on?
one half of the face, was scorching with a flare or some type of flames burning it, so he took it oof.
