The key to the first spiderman was the story. The character interaction was brilliantly done. Toby Maguire pulled it off. Let's hope they stick to the development of spiderman's character rather than go for some slick action flic. I think a good mystery and some character devlopment will be the key.
Give me a fair-skinned woman who looks like Kirsten Dunst any day. All those overtanned women just end up getting melanoma.
i could not agree more...the only other movie of its genre that worried with character development was the first Batman, and then they got away from it in the sequels...hoping spiderman doesn't fall into that trap. the most compelling thing about this story, to me, is that ultimately it's just peter parker who's doing all this. i dig that.
today...some lady got on the elevator with me in my building...a lady i've seen in the building a lot. she said..."ya know...you look like toby maguire." i'm hoping your statement doesn't apply to me... but i do find it curious i was bitten by a very poisonous spider last night while cleaning up fallen limbs in my front yard...cue ominous music.
Max, email me as soon as you can. I know a great plastic surgeon here in town who can take care of this problem for you!
